  • can you share your presets for the hi hat? I have the same set up! Rock on!

  • good job man! i.also have an alesis dm 10 drumset and my hi-hat is working like shit............i.m thinking to make an hi -hat controler box to atached on my hi hat fuus machine.....

  • hey i have the same problem with my td12 hi hat....it doesnt have that tight feel when u really put your foot down on the pedal....you can edit that with the brain?

  • @forter24

thx a lot, i really appreciate it!

  • good job!!!

  • @mikimoto77

thank you, too. thx for taking you time to listen.

  • you look a little like tommy igoe! :D

  • @tdougs77

Man, I didn't even know him, but he is a great player. Really love what I just found of him on YT!

  • I'm a Peacock,Let me fly! Hahahahaha, watch this without sound! If I looked like that when playing,I would quit! Freaky!

  • @semiLivedj

    Guess what, I am a peacock :-).

I don't feel offended, dude. Actually I don't think I'll ever quit after more than 20 years. If you think that's the way music got to be measured... Despite that I had not only a handful of guys in the past showing up to see me perform, that's why it can't be too "not entertaining" at all :-). Maybe it's nothing bad about having peacocks playing the drums.

  • @MrMichaelSchwark Dude,your a real good player,If I sounded that good but looked like that,than so be it!Peace brother.

  • When you hit the ride hard it just sounds like a crash. Hi hat sounds good.

  • @petefader

I should have chosen another ride cymbal, yes. The swelling sounds just do not work out that nice, you're right. I recently found some parameters in the head brain which have positive influence on the scaping of these sounds...but I tend to use Superior Drummer nowadays which gives a lot more room :-).

  • i really like it man

  • ni puta idea enchepao

  • Bravo!

  • Heyhey, thx, dude. Glad you like it, looks a little bit stiff, but it was the 2nd day practicing the groove and I still was a bit nervous while jamming on it...

  • @djcomamixdriver

glad you like it. was fun playing it. my

most recent video deals with a similar

    groove!

  • Great Grove, From Michigan to the Berlin where I the party of my marriage was done! Met a young man who took us clubbing! Mein Deutsch ist nicht perfekt! LOL Anywho, Loved it and "retard"? Well, I think you were doing what music does for for us who play! It took you to a land that whoever calls you a "retard" has never been too. Thanks for sharing, I'd love to put a bass line and piano to that. I might just do that with my WebCam 9000 as that is how I found you. Take Care!

  • hey there and greetz from Berlin. you German seems pretty good, man! would be great if you could do a bass line and a piano for that pattern, I would really like to hear that! yeah, the 9000 is just great. unfortunately some Labrador puppies ate mine in september 2009. I will have to buy me a new one :-)! So what clubs had you been to for your marriage party? give me a call when you are in Berlin again! we could jam and have a few beers here! ;-)

  • een hele vieze jongen

  • :-) my dutch's so bad. bt thx anyways! greetz from Berlin!

  • ganz gut

    nice groove :)

  • Thx mate!

  • MAN!! you are a genius, very very good indeed. EXCELLENT, you got tallent.

    cheers from Brasil!

  • Man, hahaha, no, I am not a genius, really. But I am glad you like it. Though this vid attracts a lot of (harsh) critics on YouTube for several reasons. But nevertheless, if I had to choose a favourite out of my own vids here on YT, this one would be it for sure.

I hope to include this groove into a song which I upload today or tomorrow. this will be the ultimate proof whether this structure/ pattern works for popular music somehow :-).

greetz to Brazil from Berlin/ Germany!

    Michael

  • So what if you pull faces, your concentrating right. Playing that odd time signature, im not suprised. Put this beat to a song...i want to hear this sitting in a track.

  • yeah, think so, too. but i didn´t want to start a "bar wars" here, you know. well, you got me, this is mainly improvised, but I still can play the basic groove which found to inspire me for that! currently i am working on a soundtrack for a movie and you just made me find out that this groove is perfectly fitting a scene - I will try to find a nice background in Ableton - if it works, I will post the product and send you a YT message! thx a lot, bro and greetz from Berlin to Kent

  • You have technique but your showmanship sucks. you look like a retard the way you rock around.

  • Yes, you're probably right!

  • But don´t just rely on me, ask a local dealer, too. I seen those td12 brains for "a fair price" on eBay already!

  • Hey Coco,

as far as I know you can easily replace the modules inbetween the td6, td9 and td12 series and keep your kit the way it is. Though there are some limitations rererring to dual- and tro-zone triggered mesh-heads which shouldn´t bother you with a td9-kit.

  • Any idea if you can switch up the brains between the two models while keeping the rest of the kit? I like some of the options the TD-12 brain holds.

  • Hi there and thx a lot, yes, I know the TD9, it´s a very good kit and the sounds are quite the same I know. Basically I just bought the TD12 cauz I got a really "good price" for a setup including a throne, some sticks, a Pearl Foot Pedal. I also own an old DW Collectors Series kit and didn´t want to tear it apart referring to the foot pedal and other stuff.

  • Sounds good man. I have the td-9kx model. The drums are mainly the same, but the brain in a lot different.

  • The brain has some additional features but I have t o admit that I still have to explore them all, right now I am working on the recording features and sound features...it´s interesting but it takes its time :-). Greeetz from Berlin, Germany!

  • Yes, your damn right! I already got myself a bandeau and I am in for my rhinoplasty next weekend. Holy shit guys, this is just YouTube and these are my practice videos. I didn´t mean I had to be "Princess Wyoming" to sign in. It´s not that your feedback ain´t welcome but...what feedback?

Nevermind dude it´s just that I am not really interested in such things. Thx anyways!

  • Part of being a good drummer is looking cool behind the kit, you need to work on that.

  • You look like a friking bird TERArd

  • Did you actually mean "RETARD"? Otherwise this wouldn´t make no sense at all, would it?

  • Whatever *`*

  • Man, you got too much time up there in Norway :-) Go learn drumming and stop doing that four fourth shit I seen on your channel. That ain't no drumming but shit dude. Sorry, but you got to take that serious if you mess with the best :-). (Coming up with some irony here, my fellow readers, plz check this dude´s channel for some kick ass ac/dc covers with a Play Station kid software...)

  • Love the kick. You sound good man!

  • Thx again. Well I am not sure which kit I used but I assume it´s the Standard Jazz kit, I edited the Hi Hat only. But I love the bass drum too. It´s a sound which I would expect to come out of a small, lovely wooden jazz kit! it´s really cool to improvise on that kit using the record-at-once-feature of the TD12!
