Do you have usb 3.0 or 2.0 on your computer? btw I'm trying to get my comp to recognize my blue yeti, i bought the pro model and I can't seem to connect it to my comp it keeps saying it failed to install properly when i plugged it in. I use the Yeti for my acoustic guitar and singing. I use the stereo mode and play totally unpugged. I like the stereo mode for play back on my home stereo speakers. The sound is so good that it looks overdubed, but it is all one take recordings with webcam and yeti. Please check out my channel for the stereo sound, and I encourage that you use headphones or high quality audio.

i'm new to youtube and am wondering how you use the mic and your camera at the same time without your camera picking up audio??

@tJ0N3S A simple technique is to do what they do in film. They use a clapper to sync up audio and video together. Hit record on your camera and the mic/software, and then make sure your hands are visible and then clap. This will allow you to have a point of reference when syncing up audio to the video.... does that make sense?

@natg900 It does make sense. I haven't bought a microphone yet though. I always thought the microphone just plugged into the camcorder but most of the ones I've been looking at are usb mics. I didn't realize you had to go back and edit the audio to match the video. Thanks though! :)
