I am SO pleased to see how kindly you handled your ground hog issue. We have ground hogs around our home that continue to dig 2 holes under our front porch and several under our fences at the back ... I have a chihuahua who I think appreciates them for that ... I've tried filling the holes in but they continue to do it, so we gave up and named him (them) "Bernie" (can't tell them apart so they are ALL "Bernie" ... Haha. Thanks for sharing.
LoL, if ya can't beat 'em, name 'em! you could try burrying some chicken-wire a few inches into the earth over the entry/exit holes. that'll keep them from digging in that particular area.
