  • When you look at how life used to be and how it is now, you realize how true this song is. And twenty years from now, this song will still be true.

  • This song perfectly fits with the New Years, am I right? Think about it, times are really changin'.

  • @Shadowkirby14 I see whatcha did there :D

  • this is beautiful poetry.

  • Bob Dylan, I LOVE YOUUU!!!!

  • this song make me feel old, and i am 17!!!!

  • @gartrax I know what you mean. I'm 17 too, haha.

  • He looks like Jackie Earle-Haley in this picture.

  • @Krunkula2 Funny how this song is in Watchmen, too.

  • the only thing about the times that are a-changin' is the days of the week and the numbers above your calenders. Everything else is still the same 'ole same 'ole. In 160 years, there is still gonna be the common workin dog sayin '"c'mon son I'll show you how to work hard and be a man" and the business class sayin " Cmon son, he's too busy TRYIN' to be a man while we ARE men so that right there entitles us to take his money, but leave em enough to get by and they won't complain, they's too dumb"

  • 4 people don't know what good music is.

  • I'm 15, and people my age need to learn what real music is. Not rap, this is good music. I don't care what your "nigguh" did to his girl.

  • @jwctex14

I'm 16 and I think people our age and all others need to find that real music can't only be found in the confines of just one genre and that stereotypes such as the one you've just thrown out there aren't needed today because just like the older generations, the newer ones also have a voice to be heard and yea all this commercial stuff you hear on the T.V is bullshit but trust me if you dig deep enough you'll find the wisdom....ha

    peace.

  • Seeing through the bullshit and the hypocrisy was always Dylans strong point,I LOVE YOU MAN.

  • I always remember WATCHMEN when i hear this!!

    Amazing Song!!!! :D

  • @7969WTF same. love it!

  • When I hear this song, images of war, oppression, revolution and superheroes come to mind.

  • exactly this is what iam looking for.

  • best song ever and he was a damm right the times they have bloody been changing

  • I think that all the youngsters should show middle finger to their elder generation and works so they can be creative by themself. that's how dylan did it

  • Ironic that the generation who grew up with this song are now the ones we are frustrated at, and the ones who applied it to their congress and senators are now our senators and congress

  • Senators, Congressmen , please heed the call. . .

    "Nuff Said!

  • gives me to absolute chillz

  • i listen to screamo and hardstyle music but this is just great :D

  • Im 13 but I have to say I love this music really its great!!!

  • @huberthwazzup Why did you have to announce your age?

  • Simply Amazing.

  • Greatest song ever is too much....honestly

  • 3 people are drenced to the bone :/

  • This song is truly timeless... right now the times they are a-changin' and they always will be... it's a little bit depressing but it's the true

  • @ruialvell90120 I do not find it depessing, but exciting. It means new options arise, new opportunities to do new things. New people to meet, new ways to do things. :)

  • 3 people who disliked are assholes

  • You say Bruno Mars, I say Guns'n Roses

You say Hannah Montana, I say Aerosmith

You say Owl City, I say Bon Jovi

You say Jonas Brothers, I say Air Supply

You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC

You say Justin Bieber, I say FUCK YOU!!

95% of teens these days listen to the same formulaic, crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy and paste it to at least five videos. Don't let the spirit of rock and roll die!

  • @hifzimr You seriously did not put this generic douchery on a Dylan posting. People may have been having a moment and you regurgitate this?

  • only 2 actual bands on that list though...

  • @hifzimr

I admit to liking Bruno Mars, or at least liking SOME Bruno Mars. The rest Hannah Montana (you probably mean Miley Cyrus), Owl City, Jonas Brothers (who have been absent from the scene for some time now, mercifully), Taylor Swift, and Justin Bieber all suck. I agree that the youth of today like shit... it's like they don't know that music from before 2005 or so even exists. Their loss, really.

  • @MerlinAmbrosius17 yea your right im 15 i like bruno mars and the rest that you hate i dont like them too !! i love the beatles, bob dylan and marley ,jjmi hendrix i love all them !!

  • @MerlinAmbrosius17 Sadly, 'the times they are a changing'.

  • @hifzimr Dude, I get your point and completely agree with you. But...AIR SUPPLY??? Seriously? D:

  • @hifzimr 'hey you kids, get off my lawn!' Seriously though, a lot of the new music is garbage.

  • @hifzimr why do people treat music like a competition? some people might listen to different stuff than you, whatever. just accept that and move on. :P

  • @kurtcobainscat ur soo right bro...different music genre doesnt mean bad music choices

ppl will always be different from each orther!

  • The times are changing as often as my underwear. Once a week at best!

  • yes, the times are changin'...

  • Hi all, i'm fench speaking and i dont understand what is the "a-" letter before "changing". What does "a-changing" mean ? I have seen that front "a-" in other texts also. For example in this poetry:

She sings as the moon sings

    I am I, I am I

    the greater grows my light

    the further shall I fly

    I hear the wind a-blow

    I hear the grass a-grow

    And all that I know

    I know, I know

    Thank you

  • @ytonaona It doesn't really have an actual meaning in terms of language. It's just a device that lyricists and poets use to add rhythm to their lyrics. "They are a-changing" almost bounces when Dylan sings it, when compared to "They are changing" which is quite a flat statement. It basically adds vibrancy to lyrics, and it's this attention to detail which makes Dylan one of the most respected songwriters of his generation.

  • @Weeniall74 Thanks mate !

  • @ytonaona It doesn't particuarly mean anything... It's really hard to explain actually. It's a more sing-songy way to say 'changing' I guess.

  • @TheJoe55223 Thank you I appreciate your reply it's a long time i've been wondering!

  • Comment removed

  • Holy crap, this one is actually by Dylan instead of some kid looking for attention!

  • @MinnsMedia You are so wrong... Your time from you parents are way different just like your time from your childrens time will be way different

  • ORIGINAL!!!

  • and the times they are a changin'.... Again...

  • POWER TO THE CHILEAN STUDENTS!!!

  • Well i genetally listen to Heavy Metal and other stuff but Dylan have best lyrics i ever heard and im sure it will never change ;] Bob rocks if i can say that ;s

  • you guys are all in ingnorance, u believe the world cant change because of what is happening now, the leaders in our government don't know how to run it, we need smart, educated people to run it, FDR was a good example, this guy is right, the times will change if we work towards it, i still listen 2 this song to help me out dispite my username

  • Barring asteroid collision, biosphere collapse or nuclear war - humanity will be around in the year 50,345.

    Not to mention 334,553.

Trust that this amount of time can't pass and we remain this stupid.

Because if humanity does anything - its get smarter slowly.

  • Humanity.. This specie must have evolved beyond the picture of 'humanity' to last this long. These pitiful vessels will not live further than their own ignorance of each other, of life.

  • @ackmonra Some do, some don't. Some don't even care and too many follow. Seems that too many people are copying the acts of the ignorant and greedy. I'm not perticularly religious, but I think the world would be a better place if they believed in gods and heavens, that way they fear going to some form of hell and unfortunatly fear seems to be the only way to control all the idiotic and selfish people.

  • @JayFFAFAlesanaES Unfortunatly a belief in Heaven and Hell only permits one man to give another perfect justification for any crime.

"God hates X, send him to hell and you'll go to heaven - don't obay you'll go to hell"

Idiots and the selfish can be woo'd with the pretty lights and power of science; but can't justify anything immoral with it without being incorrect.

  • @metallicafan5059

I'm glad there are still a few idealist nowadays that belive in change !! props to you mate!!

  • For the Money we've spent just in Iraq alone we could have healthcare for every American, and convert every car in America to run on ethanol! we are doomed as long as ignorance prevails... Hope you can swim...

  • @BikZippo Your not the only ones in Iraq mate. And who in the USA what about the oil companies, that would fail, if every car was converted to Ethanol.

Not saying your wrong, but you have to think of the other side of the argument rather than just act like what you say is gospel.

  • today's tomorrow will never be like that of yesterday

  • @abertsantome Dude... It's not the past generations! WTF? It's THIS generation (Of Adults) People like Bush...

  • They are.

    For the worse....

  • one thing is common of all times, things are always changing and people are thing they are getting worse

  • This dude was and will forever be bad-ass.

  • One of the best songs ever written, although Idiot Wind, Tangled Up In Blue, and Mr. Tambourine Man are also up there. Than again most of his songs are.

  • @DoGeeseSeeGod24 Hell yeah!!!!

  • my favourite song

  • sort of interesting how ageless this song is and has applied to our times and will apply to the years to come. amazing

  • It all comes round again. This song is as relevent now as it was in the depression.

  • depression, this song was made in the 60's, what depression.

  • I'm in the library doing a 3,000 word essay and when I get really stressed, I just sit back and listen to this song, like I am doing now. It makes me feel so much better.

  • I think the young people of today need to hear this song and ( John Lennon - Working Class Hero ) and mabe they would start thinking about how things effect the world and not just themselves...the world is so fucked now days...and Im only 21...Kinda sad I hate my generation of people.

  • @Emoio a song cant change the world, People change the world, though this song might help people wake up and realize that things need to change...Im only 17 and i agree with you

  • im 13, doucebag

  • hey the world is like that due to the fu*cking past generations, and you should be proud of yourself if you really beleive in change

  • @Emoio it is sad, I feel the same way :-/

all today today my sentiment has been that society is a dirty word

  • @Emoio It's not our generation that's to blame for the ills of today, its the previous ones. The inventors of the A-bomb, napalm, the global consumer market. We will be to blame for not doing anything to stop it in the up-coming years.

  • this song is exactly what the world neds to hear right now! Take in the message and turn back before it's too late

  • Bob Dylan rocks!!!!

  • My country needs to hear this sing right now. This song applies to the whole world. GOsh gotta Admit that Dylan is some saviour.

  • Thanks for this one, very nice sound and lyrics!

  • is there any better than bob Dylan? a mean really ?!?!? lol

  • @plmqaz1994 no only technoboy. buts thats me maybe you dont like him

  • lol im in love with dylan don't get me wrong..he has the most profound lyrics out there but as far as him having a great voice..not so much..its unique and indifferent which makes it enjoyable

  • haha he is such a lyrical genious, his voice is almost irrelevant to the brilliance. Thanks MR ZIMMERMAN!

  • your right, his brilliance comes in his lyrical genuis, and currently (if you heard his christmas album) he isnt very good at singing, but back then his voice was amazing, it matches the tonality and style of his music and poetry perfectly!

  • ther needs 2 be more artist like Mr. Dylan

  • greatest song ever

  • Most perfect song ever written

  • @7pl0ns I disagree.....

It is most perfect song ever written and most perfect song what will ever be written.
