@prooijtje A King is higher than a Queen (think of a game of cards). If the heir is a male and becomes king then his wife can become queen as she'll still be lower than him. If the heir is a female and becomes queen, her husband can't be made king because then HE would be higher than her and deemed the ruler of the country...so the husband of a female heir crowned queen has to be made a prince so that he doesn't outrank her.

They're speaking Dutch. It is VERY simular to German. If you can speak German, you can understand most of the words of Dutch. Swedish is also understood by these speakers. English (old) used to sound just the same as it came from German too.
