Some of them did get a mayday in the North Tower from Chief Phieffer, and reported that they told other firefighters, and to quote "I know for a fact they did not take it seriously". Also NYPD and FDNY were in fact given new radios but they sat on shelves and in car trunks without ever being used. This was reported in several books written about 9/11.

The phone calls were highly suspect, specifically the Barbara Olson and Todd Beamer calls. The hijackers were recorded on film at airports on CONNECTING flights - there was no evidence that they ever entered the planes used on 911. The phone calls were highly suspect, specifically the Barbara Olson and Todd Beamer calls. And it was actually very hard to get weapons onto the planes in those days, just like today - in fact, box cutters are not considered weapons, which is how the airports never got sued for a single cent after this catastrophe happened.

As the eighth anniversary approaches, this video just breaks my heart. 911 heroes, you will never be forgotten. Thank you for your courage, heroism, and ultimate sacrifice. Thank all you firefighters and first responders who put your lives on the line each day. Thank you, FDNY, for outing Rudy Giuliani, the shameless opportunist. Hopefully, the truth about 911 will come out one day and our whole nation can heal. Peace.

Remember politics is about giving contracts to campaign contributors. Specs the firemen want for radio's last thing politicians pay attention to. All politicians tell lie's there are a few exceptions but no more than 5%. If you look at your local politicians any that are truth full will be not notified of the back room meetings, will be ignored by other town councilmen and essentially by passed. Our politicians in America represent the characters from the old book (Animal Farm) to the tee.

Remember when Firestone tires were exploding on Ford Explorers? Anyone who does probably went with Good Year afterwards. My point being this: If Motorola radios were no good, how did the FDNY allow them to still represent them by allowing them to give them new ones? And those were busted too....I hate to say that Motorola should be blacklasted just because so many people died which did not have to on 9-11. Do they still use Motorola?

If you look up the Bejing Hotel Fire from Feb. 2009, you will really start to question just why Building 7 came down that day.
I'm a native New Yorker who owned a business south of 14 Street in 2001. I knew from 9-11-01 on that something strange was going on with Building 7 being imploded.
Rudy had something to hide in his bunker.
He never got the FDNY the radios they needed and that is why 343 Hereos
perished that terrible day.

im confused; couldn't the fire department get their own radios, how come its up to the mayor to get radios, and if i was a fireman and there was redtape that slowed down funding for radios i would buy my own, i wouldn't risk my life if i knew it was dangerous, im not sticking up for Giuliani but it does make the fire deprtment and the firefighters look a bit childish, unless im missing something

The Fire Department is part of the municipal government, therefore the mayor and the FD are connected. That is why they can't get their "own" radios. This video makes FDNY look childish? Everything they are saying about Giuliani is legitimate. How would you feel if you had a brother or son die when it could have easily been prevented by better leadership?

a radio cost probable close to 10,000 dollars, when you make 30 to 60,000 dollars a year, so you would expect someone to buy his own. That's why we pay city taxes so the local government purchases equipment for our fire departments

you need to think before you post on here. radios are expensive & the onus is not on firefighters to buy them. the fire department rely on government to provide work related equipment.
can you imagine yourself working for a firm, lets say in an office environment, then your manager saying to you..im sorry but we cannot provide a computer or a phone for your office. You will have to buy these yourself...

Lol, non-working radios is not the only thing that Rudy did to the poor firefighters. What about all the explosions thet were reported by firefighters, police officers, media reporters, and civilians alike? How many people, including the unsuspecting firefighters, were blown up by those explosives that were planted in those buildings? I am simply stunned that the vast majority of America is just dead asleep to this day.
