  • This is so cute and awesome all at the same time

  • she's so linda!

  • I love Linda's voice, she just opens her mouth and can sing anything at all. Do you have any of her stuff from being on the muppet show?

  • I liked the episode when they had the devil on as their featured guest! He just made she show hot hot hot! First he killed half of the audience- then he turned the entire set and studio into a hell on Earth complete with hellfire and brimstone for all. Screams of torment and hopelessness filled the room as helpless souls cried out in vain for help.. The smoke rose all the way to the nearest satteilite and tre floor was filled with a cosmic greenish slime that resembled snot- four feat deep!

  • @Lindawatcher

You have quite an imagination my friend!

  • @Smartboy8877 You mean you never saw that episode? The one where the Devil himself was their guest? Boy it was wild!....... Sinfully funny in fact!!!

  • @Lindawatcher

    You are quite a card!

  • @Lindawatcher That never happened, why must you turn every comment into a proselytization?

  • I liked her as a kid. She's so pretty and she has a wonderful voice. I like she she holds that note.

  • that green muppet's got his grito down straight raza style...

  • Shes amazing, and the name of the song is La Charreada! Y Andale is a diff song, but she is an idol and is one of the best, if not the best, when it comes to singing with mariachi... i love this clip and i love linda

  • Linda was hot !

  • @b24warbaby YES SHE WAS! I tell my younger co-workers that she was a babe back in the day and they don't believe me! lol

  • aaaw this was when sesame street was cool!!!! now it's dumb

  • Linda is probably the most talented and versatile singer in the industry. Sadly, she has allowed her extreme political views to contaminate what would otherwise be a great concert-going experience. People go to a concert to be entertained, not to have some leftist political harangue delivered to them.

  • @ vatonorteno: Wow, way to read WAY too much into things. Get a grip, she's just one performer.

  • @SelenaPreciosa71 Very badly

  • She speaks limited Spanish.

  • Viva Mexico

    Si Señor

  • i love this woman

  • I know what you mean. The lady knows how to let the voice go. I'd just love to meet her someday and get her autograph.

  • I had the awesome privilege of seeing Miss Rondstadt last night here in Los Angeles with the Mariachi group. What a night!! It was really lovely and man can she sing!

  • Linda Ronstadt can sing anything! WHAT A TALENT!

  • @druss01 as far as i know his father is mexican,,,and the cd name is CANCIONES DE MI PADRE and is in spanish ,old mexicans songs,,and she sing pretty good,,like a real RANCHERO SINGER,,,

  • Yeah, I know. I'd love to get her autograph.

  • omgg ii lovee theiir griitos awsomee elmoo ii lovee youu thiis iis myy favv songg iit justt madee myy dayy woww lol!!!

    XD

  • It was perhaps the first time I appreciated female beauty, watching this at age 3.

  • hahahaahahahahaha

    los sezamos con Linda!!

    beautiful

  • wow i totaly for got about this :3 brings back memoreis form when i was a kid!

  • LOL! This brings back a lot of child hood memories of when I watched Sesame Street. This clip is one of the most memorable.

  • LOL! I remember watching this as a kid. Brings back so many memories.

  • Linda Ronstandt is definitely an awesome singer. I'd love to meet her someday.

  • This song is "La Charreada" from her album "Canciones de mi Padre"

  • This is a very creative idea. Though I thought the Spanish word for cowboy was caballero. Also, are we missing some of the beginning of this clip?

Incidentally, does anyone have the clip with Ms. Ronstadt singing with the Mariachi band?

  • Which Mariachi band? You mean those anything muppets in the background?

  • No it was a real person band. Linda and the leader of the band sang a song entirely in Spanish.

  • Sorry. I do not have that clip, Unfortunately.

  • Don't worry about it.

  • According to Muppet Wiki, The song that Linda Ronstadt was singing with the Mariachi band is "Y Andale."

  • Too long ago for me to remember, but I'll take your word for it.

  • Jonnytbirdzback might have it.

  • No, a "caballero" is a "Gentleman". Some other Spanish names for cowboys are "Gaucho" and "Vaquero".

  • This video puts tears in my eyes... :)

My mother is Mexican and would play this album!

  • i haven't seen this video since i was like six, good to see it again after all these years. Viva La Raza!

  • The audio is not up to par, but listening to Linda Ronstadt is always a pleasure!

  • I loved this song when I was a kid!!!!

  • This is the same Linda Ronstadt who'd sing "Don't know Much" with, who was it, Aaron Neville?

  • Is that the same Aaron Neville who sang "I don't want to live on the moon" with Ernie?

  • I think so..I've seen that on YouTube before. For sure I also remember that he sang in an ad for the "Fabric of our Lives" campaign for, you guessed it, Cotton.

  • I wish I was her cowboy!

  • that would be awesome if Rosita joined Sesame Street before they did this number

  • If I am not mistaken, the video is circa 1987.

But to those who said they are sorry they saw it, shame on you. The purpose of Sesame Street is to entertain and teach children not to appease the racial sensibilities of adults (even if the adult is correct). I think the video is great and Mrs. Ronstadt's vocal is amazing as always.

  • Linda Ronstadt, a famous spanish singer.

  • Sorry but this isn't right. It does NOT sound good in english!

  • Raul you are right.

The Mexican music is only in Spanish. Our language is wonderful

If the gringos want that its kids enjoy this beautiful music, then, they should learn some Spanish; our folklore can not be understood in English.

By the way, Linda sings very very good our music, but in Spanish !!!.

  • Bigots. I have liked this song by Linda and these little muppet guys since I was a little kid. ------------> Raul you are right.

  • you're such a ignorant douche for saying that, and I do have roots in Mexico and Spain.

  • I remember this! I love her so much, and what a cool segment to have on this show.

  • I'm a kinda old dude now, but I remember wacthing Linda( and I love Linda) in that Sesame street gig. I was a kid (?) then. Can someone tell me what year it was ?

  • ok u gotta admit it its cute =]

  • The Queen of Rock was never better for me when I saw her on Seseme Street. As a kid, I knew of her. Long Live Linda Ronstadt !!

  • Elmo: What Is A Tia

  • He didn't ask that!

  • Tia = Aunt

  • Wonderful. Just wonderful. Thank you!

  • I always wondered what seemed so familiar about Linda Ronstadt. It was this, a memory from about age 6!

  • my favorite singer and my favorite muppet..this is as good as it gets!!

  • Hilarious. Linda always seems to fit right in with the Muppets.

  • Fantastic! First time I have seen that. First time I have heard Linda sing the lyrics in English. Classic.
