I grew up right next to the West Side mill yard and witnessed it burn to the ground around 1967 or 1968. Just today I saw a great video with excellent vintage film of the train operations out of West Side and throughout the mountains, including crossing the Bourland creek trestle.
Only when those stupid ass casino indians turn the remains of the site into a frickin' golf course is it really gone, especially if the Bourland Creek bridge collapses. I hate the indians for their poor treatment of railroad history.

Sucks that West Side is gone. It would have made a great tourist attraction.
