You see in america the big3 advertise in all medias. Their way to punish a bad review is to withdraw ad money to that publication. Which is why american reviews always focus on the positive and never offer any real personal opinions or criticism. They often just read off the corporate spam that comes in the brochure and sound like they are trying to sell you the car instead of give objective consumer advice. This way they get invited to all the factory releaseparties, test drives, exclusive-
-interviews, free hotels with open bar, VIP tickets to car shows and all the goodies that comes with being on their good side. A magazine that consistently are critical or honest about US cars, can forget all that. Edmunds dot com are experts at this.
This is why america is the only country in the world without factual car shows on TV and their magazines are filled with adds and just talk about tuneshops and modding. Which is americas substitute for performance cars.

You might like to know that this Chrysler 300C is actually a Mercedes base that Mercedes discontinued some 15 years back. So while they have finally understood that squeeky plastic is no longer acceptable, its still after all just a redressed Mercedes. Made to look like a german executive car. The new musclecar, the Challenger is also another redressed version of the same basic Mercedes.

Detroit knows how to make luxury cars? Detroit invented the luxury car, this guy is a dink, and the 200 is a much better car then a Sebring, yeah sure it keeps the Sebring belt line but that is about it, its only the start of a much better lineup of affordable luxury cars. welcome back Detroit.

Which is why american reviews always focus on the positive and never offer any real personal opinions or criticism. -interviews, free hotels with open bar, VIP tickets to car shows and all the goodies that comes with being on their good side. A magazine that consistently are critical or honest about US cars, can forget all that. Edmunds dot com are experts at this.
This is why america is the only country in the world without factual car shows on TV and their magazines are filled with adds and just talk about tuneshops and modding. Which is americas substitute for performance cars.

These may be built in Canada but we buy Rams built in the US. Last month Ram sales in Canada came in second to Ford and almost out sold GMC & Silverado combined. I think up here we think of the US and brothers from other mothers. Hell there are sixty thousand Americans working here in one province. They are, may I say doing it legally and pay taxes etc.

You might like to know that this Chrysler 300C is actually a Mercedes base that Mercedes discontinued some 15 years back. So while they have finally understood that squeeky plastic is no longer acceptable, its still after all just a redressed Mercedes. Made to look like a german executive car. The new musclecar, the Challenger is also another redressed version of the same basic Mercedes.

@Janusha i know that much, and that is due to the fact when Daimler owned chrysler but they used at the time the old E class chassis which means it is 4 generation behind right now.....
Sure this car can be good if it is well priced and noticeably cheaper than it german counter part or else... I mean why would you pay for a car that has a 15-20 years old chassis, an average to good interior and an average chassis, the same price, of it s E-class or 5 series counterpart?

Ofcourse there is no point except americans like to buy cars that are made entirely out of flags and patriotism and most americans dont know its not american made. Infact what IS american made these days. Most GMs are rebranded Korean Daewoo and the rest are made in Canada, Brazil and Mexico. USA builds pickups basically. Chrysler was given away to Fiat for free to avoid a full on, across the board bankruptcy so the next Chryslers from now on will all be redressed Fiats.
