If Crowley had literally sacrificed 150 children per year for 16 years, that would be 2400 sacrifices, more than double the highest estimates of the most prolific serial killers in recorded history. Surely, Scotland Yard would have noticed.

Maybe there is not god just an infinite, compasionate and sentient energy that can be invoked and interacted with. I kind of like the Gnostic mythology for that. In Gnosticism the "god" of the bible, yahweh, is kind of a living hallucination monster that creates our material universe because it delusionally believes itself to be the real God. The only way to escape the prison of the material universe, is through gnosis, or knowledge of the real God.
In that sense, satan (the adversary of yahweh) is really a good guy (or at least a trickster), introducing mankind to the fruit of knowledge.
Is that the best one about Parsons ? I'm intrested now. I have my own reasons why I don't like Crowley, but I notice how people are inspired by him to do good things too. So I don't know if I fully understand his "agenda" so to speak.
