ok, hevent touched this page in a while but.... sticker is replaced by legit o.e. badges now, it now has rewinds on it with a drop and 21/4 apexi exhaust. it is a 2.4 FOUR CYL fuel injected rear wheel drive with a 4.73 locking diff.
and it is alot better now after the rebuild. yes it DID need stem seals.
Very nice but is that electrical tape on the hatch? If so very tacky please spend the 10$ on a sticker... lol miss my Celica but a Supra is a little faster :P sounds good.
i was mistaken i thought it was a supra because i have a 84 supra and it looks almost the exact same from behind with exception to the placement of the back up lights but the front end looks different. did the celica come with the i6 or the i4
Wrong. Only the Celica-Supra came with a 6 cylinder. All other celicas were inline 4s. This one has the 22R-E engine which is a 2.4 L fuel injected version. I know the thing says 22R-EC, but truth is, the US has some weird naming system with their Toyota engines, since this car isnt both carburretted and electronically fuel injected. When I say 22R-E I'm following the official Toyota engine naming system. Correct me please if this GTS was the carburretted one, then it would be a 22R =)
ok youve obviously owned a few, my brothers one must of had a 6cylinder put in it, as his was jst a celica, not a supra celica, it did have TRD drive train, good old days drifting thru twn, wldnt get away wth it now tho =(
Why is it a supra? I can only see the rear of the car which the Supra yes only came in Liftback, but the Celicas of that year came in both Liftback and Coupes. I myself have a coupe.
