Actually regarding 9/11, the Iranian people (not the government) were mourning and holding candlelight vigils for us. There's a lot Obama could be doing other than sending in the troops. A embargo of refined fuel would probably bring down the Iranian government, as they only have one refinery in the country. Obama could lead the diplomatic effort to do this, but instead is voting present.

Clearly the difference between Iran now and Iraq and Afganistan is that the Iranian people themselves have been wanting this for decades. Use your brain for a second, if the CIA had the power to create this internal uprising in Iran, why didn't they do it in Iraq and Afganistan too? Actually regarding 9/11, the Iranian people (not the government) were mourning and holding candlelight vigils for us. There's a lot Obama could be doing other than sending in the troops. Ask the Germans how the Osties felt about Reagan's "Tear Down This Wall" speach. A embargo of refined fuel would probably bring down the Iranian government, as they only have one refinery in the country. Obama could lead the diplomatic effort to do this, but instead is voting present.

All I can say is wow. Lets not underestimate the Obama effect. Speech he gave in peace meant more than just the words that were spoken. Lots of symbolism... That is what happens at protest that is normal, crowds of that magnitude are never peaceful they get irrate and start destorying things then the police have to come and take control of the situation because they are destrorying private properties.
