  • In the book Hiroshima some military officers visited Japan shortly after Japan had surrendered.

they were a little uneasy, but the people of Japan did not bother them. I suspect it's like the recent earthquake disaster, they all came together and started to quickly rebuild their country.

  • I spent a lot of time in Japan and like the Japanese people, found them to be very polite and friendly. I guess the Japanese soldiers viewed the Americans as the enemy and so felt they were justified in treating them badly.

  • @whiskeyify japanese is better then chinese....for now

  • I can't be certain but I've always felt that Japan and USA have a special unspoken respect for eachother on some vague level after fighting the most savage, horrifying and bloody conflict in human history against eachother, and then putting it behind them and starting over as friends.

  • well I have to take a nap and dream about Joseph Fiennes RIGHT NOW! Damn he is hot! So IS Ralph!

  • @Phillegoboy12345 Well the younger generation of Japanese were not truly aware of what happened in the PAcific War against Japan. On top of that, there is really nothing they can do now. They are nice because they can do nothing after 70 years ago. So they are one of our trading partners now these days. America also has a naval base on the Japanese docks, so the Japanese are pretty much supervised.

  • @StrawberryIchigo121 That's because Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution doesn't allow to have it's standing military any more. Majority of the military bases in Japan are owned by U.S. so of course the U.S. had to supervise Japan to defend them in case of North Korea and Chinese threat. The Japan Self-Defense forces is basically an extension of a police force even though it's a military force. We still can't trust japan to have their own as they might act aggressively if we leave our bases.

  • @Hperman09

Anyone who tries an airborne/seaborne invasion of Japan is in for one hell of a fight. All those guys do all day everyday is run defensive exercises. They know every nook and cranny, every possible entry point, every possible scenario, and have plan A and B already sorted out.

  • @kromannschmidt What krom said was incorrect, they were actually scared because the japs threatened the P.O.Ws that if they left the camp, they would all die.

  • @wonnab213 because the stupid nips-japs were afriad to go up agianst the USA USA RULES

  • wow..it mustve been hard...unbearable..seeing your comrades die..

  • Dont you just love the way they shout when their in occupied territory! But its okay I`ve worked with the U.S Army and they still do it .It`s really good for the clean underwear Dept. the first time you hear it!

  • @GerOrBer It's only a movie and the Japanese today are now technological genius and scholars. I have been to Japan and they are rather friendly.

  • @StrawberryIchigo121 alright then, sorry for treating rude words to japan,

i understand it already, they just want to fight for their country,

    sorry buddy.

  • @StrawberryIchigo121

Don't mind some of those filipinos, i am a filipino that already forget the past of the cruelty of japanese

  • @allyzombie5 I'm not angry, just concerned. I look at it this way, "we can leave the past behind, but we can never forget who our ancestors are and what legacy they hold."
