Saw him at the Ringwood Folk Club recently. As always .a stunning and moving performance. Always has sold out concerts in Australia.People who appreciate him out here always support him well.
He'll be at National Folk in Canberra at Easter if you want to hear him - them. We are very lucky in Australia that he visited again this year. I went to stunning concert in Melbourne a week or so ago.
Great version Martyn and as always a fantastic voice, performance and a true gentleman. I'd love to hear you sing Grace Darling or The Last Great Grain Race from the same singer song writer Stan Graham.
well I saw him at the sidmouth festival a few years ago...he did a nice version of the Banks of Claudy...unforunately he's virtually unknown in Ireland...as are most British folk singers
He is English, but sings Australian songs almost exclusively. I was fortunate enough to have seen him about 25 years ago in Toronto, and he was just as great as he is here. I don't know why he isn't more well known, he's just as good as many other performers, and better than a good many. It may be his choice of material, it may not be seen as quite as accessible as others'.

He's certainly well known and respected in folk circles. A lovely singer and a really nice man.

I know he's been taking part in folk music events all his life, unfortunately not the most popular kind of music nowadays!!
