Does anyone know how to make the settings STAY PUT in Windows 7 for this thing please? It has been difficult to say the least. I use an external Diamond HD 7.1 USB sound card and it HAS worked after some serious tweaking, but now it;s gone again. I can hear it on playback through the speakers, but get NO signal when I try to record. Great turntable when the user knows how to make it works properly. VERY poor documentation and slow support.
Why put vinyl on MP3? You lose so much quality and audio data. Converting your records to 24bit FLACs ensures that you're futureproofing priceless records so they will never lose quality if you decide to convert the FLACs to a different format.
Yes it reads 78's very well. I convert all my MP3's to CD. I have CD hard copies of everything I record. But I refuse to get rid of my vinyl collection. There is no better sound...in my opinion. The TTUSB makes it sound even better.
I have had the ION TTUSB for two years now...wife got it for me for christmas...it is the greatest electronics toy! It does a great job of cleaning up the scratches too. One downfall is the lack of a cue on the arm...but a newer model has all that and more!! Just Great!
It appears to be the same as a regular turntable with a needle, so I suppose you could scratch and mix - I've never tried using it like that, and I wouldn't know how.
No idea what timecoded vinyl records are, but it works fine with the vinyl I've got from the 70s-80s.
You could use it to mix or with timecoded vinyl, but I doubt if the motor which drives the platter would be strong enough to enable successful scratching. When you drag the vinyl backwards it would slow down the platter. DJ turntables have stronger motors (torque) which is why they cost more.
sounds great I saw it at ebay, for about 80 bucks. One question can you shows all what other type of connections does it have, i.e : line in or whatnot or is it just USB?

I've read that Ions requires itunes to complete the vinyl rip.
Will it be possible to take each song as a stand-alone mp3 like in windows folder?
