Normally, Japanese Tv shows put Tv stars or comedians instead of local people. There's a similar game show called VS Arashi. The top singing group of Japan is hosting this. Everyone in there are stars (except for the audience)

This is one of the Best shows EVER and in season 2 you can see how the crowd loves these people on the show, i think if they sold the show to Japan they could keep it going. But hey thats my oppinion, i personally would give an ARM and a LEG to see "I Survived a Japanese Gameshow" season 3.
