  • this is only part I; i'm memorizing the whole 3 parts for my recital

  • 1:07 EPIC FACE!!!!

  • Im trying to learn this song for tomorrow and i only have like 1/4 kinda mastered -.- an this kid does it so well.. im jealous :/

  • This Is Amazing!!!!

  • Excellent! I am learning this song now..just started yesterday and I almost have it 3/4th the way mastered. (I learn extremely quickly...Fur Elise took me a week)

  • im 13 and learning that song and i stink

  • I seriously hated learning this song. It usually takes me about 3 weeks to learn a new song (when I was taking lessons), but I was on y 13th week with this one, when my teacher and I FINALLY called it quits!

  • I tried learning this song for my piano recital tomorrow.

    But..

So many versions of this song..

    IT'S OVER 9000.

  • @EnchantedLocket You tried learning it for tomorrow? You do know it takes more than a day, even for experienced pianists right?

  • @Grasshoppa065 Yeah, but there are a lot of versions for Sonatina, I just couldn't remember which so I searched it on YT haha.

  • the level of difficulty: Asian

  • You are good kid, You are 6 years older now, what do you study?

  • My god he played it better than I did when I was his age

  • wow you OWNED that. rock on dude!

  • muscle memory :) repetition makes perfect!

  • Great Job!! Very Nice ;)

  • why are the asian kids so skilled?

im 14 trying to get into a competition and i suck balls.

no shit, im white. wishin i was asian.

  • @77musicLoverZ It's not that he's asian or anything. Real music comes from passion and the love of playing it.

  • @77musicLoverZ Asian's tend to have genetically more gray matter in their brains, wich in turn gives them a higher probability to excel in complex tasks such as playing an instrument or solving math problems, this is likely due to an increased working memory

  • awesome!!!!!! i love it!!!! i can't even play as fast as that! keep up the great work. :)

  • I remember learning this song, very good job

  • how many days did he learned this song?

Wie viele Tage hat er gelernt, dieses Lied?

Combien de jours at-il appris cette chanson?/

  • ..... how old are you?..

im 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 years old and my hands are way tooo slow.

  • warst du nicht der , von Supertalent?XD

  • nice playing

  • im learning that song write now :D

  • HE'S AMAZING!!! I don't care if he's is asian or not because I am. It's offensive. It doesn't matter if your asian or not. He has talent. I take piano and I'm learning that song and I'm twice his age.

    I'm 14 and I'm learning this song . . I was about to die .

    So talented :D

  • @asianlivelovelaugh97 same here :)

  • @asianlivelovelaugh97 this is easy!!! actually this piano piece is for first graders.

  • @sqxyfay You're just making me feel even worst .

    Well , I'm partly a beginner . . ?

I mean , I had classes for 3 months when I was like 7 . But my grades started to fall badly , so my parents stopped the classes to let me go back to my "studies" as a 7 year old =.= . and i didn't go back because i didn't want to have to go 4 times a week , for a few hours . . and i regret it .

so I started to learn by myself again (:

  • @asianlivelovelaugh97 you can try again as long as u know how to read notes then thats it!!!

  • @BelNemecsek96 sorry but there are alot of people which are in the opinion that asian people are able to do all and they are jealous of them and say rude things and i thought your comment is one of these... (sorry for my bad english)

  • @TheBlubberlayla it's ok, i know that... by the way, the 21 dislikes are this kind of people. (sorry my terrible english too =D )

  • this is a wonderful piece of music, and u did it very well.

  • his expression is wierd but hes really good

  • his expression is wierd

  • obviously a stereotypical asian mom and dad, because the kid plays beautifully

  • oh was this for a exam or something?I love exmans,I love all the stress that you have to go throughto get everything perfect

  • wow :O

  • You misunderstood. It was not for this piece.

  • @maylh freeway1itb misunderstood?

  • @maylh yeah, and plus, u repeated at the wrong time but u played well :)

  • how come it took this kid 2 mounths to learn this song,it took me a half hour to learn this perfecly

  • how oold is this kid?! (well when he played this)

  • played this for my grade 4 piano exam...10 years ago, don't know if i sounded like this, hmm must sit back down at my piano. very well played keep up the good work!

  • @SuperCeol this is a grade three peice

  • @freeway1itb my mistake

  • to be honest it is demoralizing to watch this young boy play this piece perfectly, i secretly hope it took him a long time to learn this piece,. however it is nice being able to hear how this song is suppose to be played.

  • his hands aren't even big enough for the octaves yet he still manages to play them perfectly

  • PERFECT!

  • As a 22 year old, it sure does make me feel like a little fag-got to come on youtube and watch this boy skool this song. I'm having trouble learning it, haha! Nice job.

  • What is your pianobok?

I think i have the same book as you... :D I can play like you, Sonatina C :D :D Your really good... how old are you??????

  • What is your pianobok?

  • Beautiful, congratulations! :)

  • how do u play this what are the notes

  • You're rushing it a bit, slow down and play more accurately. But overall, good job! :D

  • What an easy song.

  • eh eh, well done kid, liked the thumbs up at the end, you're smart

  • Exellent! It is very unusual for a kid play those scales perfectly. Every beat of the note is balanced, very well-played indeed. Keep up the good work! ;)

  • that isnt very hard to play but he does a great job

  • Damn! I play this too! &U totally outdid me. -________________- I worked my butt off learning this for 2 months! i dislike u lol ur good :] its really sad he lost interest..

  • This is very good I'm just learning the second half but I'm not as fast ad you

  • lol i watched this like 50 times and i never noticed the trophies on top of the piano...XD

  • q horror comop pueden poner a un niño a hacer eso dejen que disfrute su infancia!! jaja n es cierto buena interpretacion me gusta!!

  • Wow.... Even I couldn't even do that when I was his age!

  • I'm going to assume that those trophies are all for piano!

  • Es solo el primer movimiento 8-)

    Pero sorprendente!!!!

    La toco muy bien

  • Very Good!

I am his piano teacher and e is very good!

  • Ur amazing!!! I'm playing this song right now. It's an amazing song! Good job kid(:

  • Muy bien!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ADORABLE! BRAVO! BRAVO!!

Brings back memories, only you played it better than I did. lol

    Thumbs UP!

  • Awesome!

@maylh, I would also lose my interest if I played the same piece for four months! I play a piece with 2 pages for about 2 weeks, and then I begin to learn a new one.

But his teacher probably just wanted that your son could play every piece very well.

You are probably very proud on your son, because he is awesome!

  • Thanks for comment. The key is to keep kid interested while keep some pressure on him/her.

  • @maylh - wonderful piece. this is what kids should be playing. Not Beethoven's 5th sympathy!

He's very good. be proud. I'm sure you are. I played this, but not half as well as he did. And that was cute at the end with thumbs UP! lol

  • @maylh wow nice i havent even heard of this song even when im grade 6 o.o my teacher gives me boring songs.. i dun find myself practicing much.. bye~

  • @maylh hmm this kid is useless. what he learnt is the movement but i bet he hasnt learnt scales and cant play a tone and know which it will be .

  • ¡Fine kid! Tengo 30 años estoy en 5to año y esa pieza no la tocó tan rápido como el :D

  • You play so good ;]

  • I thought the composer was Dmitri Kabalevski???

  • Comment removed

  • cool! I started playing that song (all 3 movments) last year, but unfortunatly, I am sooo slow at preparing a peice

  • Waw... I'm 36 years old and just start learning to play this song.

  • WOW LOL IM 10 N I CAN PLAY THAT

  • me too

  • I used to play this back then. :)

  • damn your good(i taught i was good)

  • Fantastico, bravo

  • He can play very well at this song

  • Cool my last name is Huang, too

  • this was my favorite piece to play when I was his age! i also love sonatina no. 3 op. 36 - also in c major. he plays it very nicely, it's too bad he doesn't play anymore - he would have been very good.

  • Thanks all for your nice comments. Unfortunately he stopped playing piano years ago. I think the he was probably not used to the way how he was taught. The piano tutor is one of best in our area who has sent many students to state/national competitions. He emphasizes more on musical aspects than technique. My son sometimes needed to practice a piece for four months in order to pass. He lost interested in the end. Or just became not interested for whatever reason. Sigh...

  • @maylh - Oh, sorry to hear that, but he might pick it up again later in life. If not, I'm sure he'll be successful in whatever he chooses. He's a smart kid.

  • @maylh Maybe you pushed him to much? D:

  • @maylh

If it is a true and deep intention of your son to love music, he will return, otherwise, it is better for him to have left it and dedicate himself to things he really loves (win/win). I quit the piano a few years ago, thinking I would never return; but I did.

  • Very nice job! Excellent phrasing, and very fluid playing stemming from understanding the piece.

  • magnifique!

  • Parabéns! Garoto

  • This was my first recital piece :)

  • JESUS CHRIST this kid's beast, I can only play this at cut time :|

  • I'm jealous of you maylh haha! Nice thumbs up the end made me lol.

  • COOOOOOOL

your name is Huang! like the 1st emorer of china! (however you write that word)

    nice song though

  • Very nice kid!!

I'm learning this piece right now and it is just amazing!!

Keep up the piano playing and one day you will be a famous composer!!

    I rate this 5/5 stars

  • damn, i still remember this song from a WHILE back

  • He plays very well. His hand posture and sound quality was not that good, but it would do for a child that young. I didn't learn to play this piece until I was 6 :)

  • Well, there's a kid who definitely practices his scales and arpeggios every day! ^^

  • @jhameiagoh don't forget hanon ;o

  • Incredible to see one so young with so much musical ability, both technical and artistic.

  • I don't like this one so much but it's really cool how really young people can play sonatinas like this. :D ;)

  • wow !

  • Makes my efforts seem so inadequate. Love this piece - and love to see such a young boy doing it so much justice. Well done M. Huang.

  • congrats!

  • ....i have heard this muchhh toooo muchhhh

  • That is a piece that stays with you. I last saw the music more than 35 years ago but I can still play if from memory. Nice job, kid. I like the grin at the end!

  • tell me which other tunes stay with you? beginner at piano looking to learn good choons.

  • I could play that Sonatina also at that age, Suzuki program really is the best, 14 now and played like 5 of those thing, memorized... brings back memories.

  • WOW ! :O

    Awesome..

  • hOLY SHIT!!! ROBOT JK PRODIGY =]

  • reminds me of me wen i wuz 6 (im 11) me pounds (used to) too much O-o,

    but nice playing

  • dangggggggggggggg

  • One of my favourites!

  • Comment removed

  • Quit pounding so much.

  • A little kiddy like him can play so well??? ! GOSH, natural born pianist!

  • kids naturally have good technique (taubman, natural motion of hand) because their fingers havent developed strength for incorrect finger technique

  • Que niño

  • Dynamics, kid. You can play fast, but this song is about contrast.

  • lo mejor del mundo

    felicitaciones
