I graduated from John Marshall High School in Milwaukee, 1968; we had to learn it in our senior year in advanced English and each student had to stand up and say it to the class. Of course we can still say it, and have gotten lots of entertainment mileage out of it!

Q: "And how did she know what the hell they called it then?"

A: "Oh, she lived in the middle ages!"

Bravo! - I really enjoyed hearing you ladies recite this together. I'm a student of Chaucer myself but have yet to learn that General Prologue! Perhaps this video will help get my in gear.
