This is one of the first records I found when I started collecting a little over 50 years ago, but it was only about V. It took me until about 3 years ago to get a nice copy. I also had a wooden Victrola like yours I bought in Big Spring, TX in 1992 for $95--sold it about 2 years later for $140 and wish I'd kept it. It was light, kind of like walnut. If you're 86, can you remember the music from the end of the 20's and did it make an impression on you then?
What a lovely bright sound - and such a clean record. BTW, the vocalists are Billy Jones & Ernest Hare, and it was made in New York, on Oct.5th 1923. Many thanks!
