great job, glad i found this one, too! one of the toughest things was to finally get that the notes played on the 4th string and the little 2-note c-chord and the 3rd fret 5gh string are all actually upstrokes, gives it that 'swing' feel. got that tip from dougfcknsteel. try it and see what you think..feels weird at first. you've got 90% of it down cold now..i'm still gonna need some time to get it to that point. i need to find where to get backing tracks i think.

Do you think sitting down is hindering your lefthands movement, and execution? I found out that standing is more ergonmic when playing fast licks, and Floyd Rose based chops. Not only that you will burn more calorie...just from the excitement!! BTW your 5150 Tone is VAN TASTIC

At first glance, I'd have you replace the water pump on my Chevelle, and do the timing, but when you pick up the purple Wolfgang and start slamming MANY of the EVH licks, with a pretty sweet sounding tone, you HAVE TO get props. It just sounds GOOD, and I don't give a rat's a-- if it's perfect or not. Dude, you have it nailed better than most...keep doing what you're doing!

I use the Strat when I play Blues & Allman Brother Stuff, I play sitting down cause I can't stand up with my ceiling to low... I'm a better player standing.

Very cool!! I've been watching all of your videos, and am amazed at the good tone you are getting from the 5150 II. I tried one at GC, and it sounded like a buzzy POS. Couldn't get close to your tone, even with the setting you provided. Wonder why? Have you changed your preamp tubes from stock? The 6505 plus' I have tried sucked so badly!

It's very close to were you want it. I think you should palm mute a little more in the beginning. Also, It should swing more. Which is easier at a slower tempo if you get the swing feel then speed it up it's there. Also, the pick slides and vibrato bar technique changes in the second half of the song. Check the recording. Last but not least you did a great job on a really hard song to play. Rock On Man

Hi man. I have been a VH fan for many years and I think the early VH has got a real drive and pasion for rock music and you have realy captured that. I think you are F*%$ing briliant. I like listening to you play more than the record itself, keep em coming.

It is a "tough one". But seeing it again 4 months later brings the question: you have any clips with a band or a backing track? Just say the word and it gets forwarded to those that can make real decisions.

Very cool!! I've been watching all of your videos, and am amazed at the good tone you are getting from the 5150 II. I tried one at GC, and it sounded like a buzzy POS. Couldn't get close to your tone, even with the setting you provided. Wonder why? Have you changed your preamp tubes from stock? The 6505 plus' I have tried sucked so badly!

very nice. you do that better than any other song IMO. i heard that eddie never did the same solo as the one on the album, and i dont mean it as in "oh you never play EXACTLY the same thing every time" i mean that he improvised everytime. btw... 3:01 - nice face hahaha

Okay,
It's very close to were you want it. I think you should palm mute a little more in the beginning. Also, It should swing more. Which is easier at a slower tempo if you get the swing feel then speed it up it's there. Also, the pick slides and vibrato bar technique changes in the second half of the song. Check the recording. Last but not least you did a great job on a really hard song to play. Rock On Man
