is that for your go kart ,do stiil have it? i got one used 2days ago runs perfect .but i cant figure out how the linkage are connected on the throttle they were all bend up, any help
ya appandrew is my friend whos working on this thing with me. we checked the plug and its fine we even tried a different plug from a working motor and it still wont turn over. is there some sort of choke or switch that were missing? and could TOO much oil cause this?
Hey I have the same engine and am having a hard time starting it. It sounds like it wants to turn over but never does. I just put new oil and gas in it. Not sure about the spark plug though. Could you help me!!!
definitely check the plug, if its covered in carbon, replace it, also make sure a spark is getting to the plug, if it doesnt work, try a lawnmower or go-kart forum and see what they say
i had bad experience with thtose tecumseh engines. my lawnmower's and another one from a mini bike both threw the rod. the one from the mini bike the rod broke the block and the lawnmower's just simply broke. it seems like they are very delicated or they just suck.
even though i love briggs and stratton engines, the 6 horse engine on my go-kart has run strong for a couple of years. i have even run it past 6000 rpm.
Tecumseh carbs do suck, but what I've found out is they tend to be ok with the rods if you use straight weight oils like SAE 30 or SAE 40. For some reason the multigrade oils kill them.
