This was one of my favorite of the Friday series. I was ready for the dark humor. It had gore and killing. But it also was hilarious. Ethel and Junior were great characters. There are so many lines from this movie my friends and I used after watching it. What are you dumb or something? You aint so pretty yourself, you know. When we were kids we watched this movie just about every weekend. No, this is my favorite of the series.

Making of Friday part 5 eh? It should be renamed to "We're sorry part 5 wasn't about Jason".

Honestly, seems like everyone involved struggled with the fact that it wasn't Jason hiding behind the mask. Why not just make it about Jason? Plain and simple.

"But it WAS about Jason."

Yeah! Explain that to the 13 year old me who wanted his Jason-fix. Nowadays, I'm over it... But I'm pretty sure there's not a fan of the series who didn't feel ripped off at the end of their first viewing.

either way this movie blew. the only good sequels were 4 and 6. there were a few "meh" ones, though.

Underrated because they recycled the plot of the first movie: A parent finds that their kid has died and goes insane and kills those they believe are responisble, this time however they took the Halloween III route (the story that Halloween III isn't a Halloween Movie because Michael Myers isn't in it, but it was given the title as a cash in on Halloween's success) they made us think we were seeing Jason, but then show us it's an imposter

harry manfredini's music is a beautiful cherry on a delicous sundae of this totally cool and nostalgic, and classic movie. I like the guy that played as tommy jarvis on part 5 better as opposed to the guy that played as him on part 6. if only kane hodder had played as jason on ALL of the friday the 13ths......... they all would have been exponentially better.

omg the ending pissed me off, why couldn't they come up with a scary reason Jason was alive?? Like have the character tommy check out Jasons grave and when opening it, its empty! Aww..Roy's eyes are so beautiful. The clip when they close up on his face when he arrived at the Home. His eyes are so dreamy lolz..And Tiff, what happened to you, omggggg!..I was shocked when i saw her here.
