  • work girl work, looking gorgeous

  • damn how is your hair so 'flowy'?

  • great video. thanks

  • Where i live people dont even know this type of hair. So i couldnt go to a hairdresser to get it done. But luckily my mom grew up with this hair so she does it for me =)

  • Hi! do you use lye or no lye relaxers? Thanks for sharing your hair looks great!!:-)

  • guhh ,you are so countryy . but aint nothing wrong with it . im from alabama so i cant talk . haha . but you are so lucky to have the hair you have . Oh! and you are so beautiful .

  • What would you recommend to regrow edges? I have very very healthy hair that I can thank my beautician for. But about a month or 2 ago I noticed a small peice of my edges on the right side of my head has broken off badly. I have no idea why....

  • hey, thanks for the video! i live in Japan and soon enough im gonna have to start retouching my hair by myself so it was really helpful!

how come you only apply to the growth? ive had people overlap everytime they relax my hair and ive heard its bad but can you tell me why??

recently redid my hair and its weaker than ever, but lucky for me it grows fast too. any suggestions to keep it healthy?

  • You have beautiful silky hair...thanks for sharing.

  • is the revlon good for fine hair that is curly that want that straight look?

  • i love your hairdryer!!!!

  • wat do i do if i have baby fine hair should i use a lye relaxer or no lye im tryin to fine a good hair regimen to use and a good relaxer as well and i dont know wat to do

  • Omg, your hair is beautiful!! It looks so silky and healthy.

  • Your hair is sooo healthy i love it and have to agree with the triming any who can u give me some tips my friend has veeeeerry thin hair but its verryyy coars i stoped her from going to salon cuz they were leaving the perm for 10m i dont perm my hair but isnt that too much time on very thin hair ? soo what perm would u recomend and for hoe long throw in there what shampoo is more convienet thanks!!

  • beautiful hair!! its wonderfully thick!!

  • What type of neutralizing shampoo do you use/recommend with the Revlon relaxer?

  • Do those type of hair dryer still exist cause i love it. Where can i get one in Africa if they exist?

  • what's a good light hair oil to use?

  • coconut oil

  • Can you do one and show how you wash and neutralize?

  • You did a good job relaxing it, but that's not how your suppose to blow dry your hair. never.

  • Really nice hair!! :D 5/5

  • can u do a tutorial on how u cut your own hair like that please?

  • 20 years old? yeah i think its time for a new dryer.

  • so is it better to sit under a dryer or blow dry? and im using motions products but a revlon relaxer a regular but i have thick and somewhat corse hair should i get the mild? i have the type of conditioner that you put in and wash out after 15minutes, should i just find a good leave in?

  • it is better to use a dryer because it is less direct heat on ur hair....plus if u use the big jumbo rollers and comb ur hair out....it really gives hair sum volume and body!!

  • What gives hair that swingy flowy movement? My hair is almost the same

length as your's, but it's STIFF.

  • You make it look sooo easy.

  • she really does! I have no such luck

  • Pls show us how to clip ends and cut.

  • How long will it stay like that?

  • You have beautiful hair!!

  • beautiful once again... i will use those products for my hair... can you show us how u cut it too? please?

  • Your hair got straight without a flat iron! And it's si shiny too. I have to flat iron my hair a lot to get it straight. 5 stars.

  • thats how my hair looks after i blowdry which is so good because i usually don't HAVE to straighten like with a flat iron unless i really truely want it to be flat lol.

  • Your accent is cute : )

  • wow ur hair is amazing

  • Yes, this will work on men.

Yes, you only relax the roots (new growth) THE ONLY WAY YOU DO THE ENTIRE HEAD IS IF YOUR HAIR IS VIRGIN I.E. YOU HAVE NEVER HAD A RELAXER BEFORE

  • Does this also work on men?...

  • prolly.

  • You have beautiful hair...

i know about that sensitive scalp syndrome. in the past, after my relaxers, all i could do was pop asprins and pray the pain went away.

thanks for the vid...i'll be copying your procedures tonite!

  • Do you only relax the roots?

  • your hair reminds me so much of my sister's. Bangin!

  • You should do more hair tutorials...your hair is beautiful.

  • Very thorough. Thanks. Have you ever tried the Olive Oil Relaxer by Organics? It kicks butt on anything I'd ever used before.

  • Ricangal, i have been using Olive Oil Relaxer and it is the best ever!!!

  • omg...i absolutely love that relaxer...and the shampoo smells soooo good...

  • you should try bantu knots in your hair... its a beautiful way in achieving curls without heat... just a suggestion

  • your hair always look great. any tips on keeping edges straight and hairline fixes?

  • You're looks so good! after the relaxer! Great Job! I wish mine came out that good :D girl you're beautiful :D

  • Giiirrrrl you are soo pretty!

I love watching your videos =)

  • girl we use our great grandmother's dryer and it's still kickin...that sucker had one of the old fashion plugs and all...it's good

  • i wish u lived in Jamaica lol omg u would haf to be my F R I E N D :-D

UR MY NEW HAIR AND MAKEUP IDOL ;-)

  • your hair looks lovely

and normaily when i see relaxed hair it looks rewind

but urs is very lovely :)

was yours natrually straight or natually curly

coz i might be getting my hair relaxed

  • your so pretty. and i love your accent.

i had just gotten outta the shower when i watched this and it made me want to put in some leave in conditioner so i paused the video and went and put some in lol.

    btw

i have a question. Is your hair naturally straight or does it dry straight because of the comb on your blow dryer? cause if so im getting me one of those lol

    thanks

    Ashton

  • Looking fierce!

  • Gorgeous hair...and your so pretty hon..How often do you wah your hair...?

  • i was born with straight hair but i was just curious to see what the process of how relaxing went and wow that's kinda hard work but it looks great XDD!!!

  • your hair looks healthy, you keep your end trimmed that's good. Looks nice:)

  • i use a whole relaxer

  • And that's how my hair broke all off & I had to end up cutting it.

  • welll damn i got thick long hair but i dont uses certian ones cause ALL of my hair will fall of i uses that much cause my whole head takes that much

  • you shouldn't use a comb insert on your blow dryer because they are cut from molds and by nature, molds leave little seams and those seams break your hair when blow drying its better to use a brush... just a small tip i got along the way.

hope it helps... thanx for the videos!

  • I am scared as hell to relax my own hair. I'm afraid that I will miss some of it while rinsing and my hair will fall out or something else might go wrong. my hair is kinda long. It's at my shoulder blades. I know i need to clip my ends too but im also afraid to do that. Do you have a tutorial on that?

  • I'm in the same boat! My hair is about the same length and I need to clip my ends, but I don't want to cut anything wrong. And I'm scared of a perm! I don't like going to the hair salons anymore, but I need my hair cut. Its so hard to find a good hair stylist.

  • I want to relax my hair but im afraid its gonna be like 'stiff' . But i guess its about what type of hair you have .

  • It will move as long as its healthy and you keep heavy grease and oil to a minimun and I do mean minimum. I've seen ladies who have the so-called " nappy hair" who have serious ' swang' . Don't believe the texture lies.. LOL!!!

  • thats what i am afraid of, that only happens because some ppl dont wash the whole thing out with shampoo, when they relax/texturize, and do it tooo often.

  • U did real good, but i have a ? on the blow drying part what if it gets to puffy were it dosnt look straighten like yours

  • LMAFO! @melissak615

But newayz Love u and ur vidz, lol

  • your hair is so shiny, what do u do to make it bounce like that?

  • Do you ever deep condtion your hair? if you do what kind of condtioner do you use and how long do you leave the condtioner on you hair

  • wow im surprised that blowdryer still works..lol

  • where did u get that piece for ur blower???

  • I have really short hair; less than an inch long and I want to try relaxing it myself cos its just too expensive to go to the salon everytime I need to get my hair looking nice (ie all the time) are there any tiips you can give me about how to apply the relaxer?

  • if i want to relax my hair for the first time do i do the roots first then go back and do the rest of my hair or roots and the hair at the same time.. also im hispanic will the relaxer u used work on me???

  • a big thankyou for these videos. my good friend needed her regrowth relaxing. and i was volunteered to help out. i am not a hairdresser, and i had never even seen this done before! out of all thehow to vids i found yours the most helpful. i did my friends hair 3 days ago and so far it hasn't fallen out. in fact it looks quite good :)

  • your so pretty, thanks for the relax hair tip : )

  • HOW DO U GET UR HAIR SO SHAKKEYYY

  • When you said don't blowdry your hair naked I was like DANG why not I love blow drying my hair naked bc I get so dang hot ...ohhhh she meant my hair!

  • Girl...........you are truly blessed & talented!!! I stumbled across your videos on here yesterday and i'm just amazed. I ran out today to Sally's to buy some Aphogee products per your suggestion. Keep posting all your great videos!!! :)

  • How often do you recommend that you get a trim?

  • Every time you relax and if you don't relax that often..i would suggest ever 1 1/2 months:)

  • I went to get that leave in conditioner and I LOVE IT!!!

  • What kind for relaxer do you use..? Oh and what kind of moisturizers do you put on it? I need to hang out with you for real you have all the right tips!

  • What type of leave in conditioner did you use??

  • she said aphogee. u know the pro-vitamin leave-in

  • Thanks

  • How do you keep your hair so healthy, it's obvious that it is? My hair is extremely dry and I don't even bother oiling my scalp or hair because it's useless, my hair just soaks it up,my mom oiled my hair constantly and it still shedded alot, Now I have 4 children that stress me to the max and so it just falls out and sheds alot, Do you have a solution? I shampoo with Infusium shampoo and use the leave in treatment , then blow dry.

  • Girl you are pretty even without the makeup :)

  • wow, gal i just love yer hair, i wish i'll get that same silky hair the next time i retouch. Problem is i was going to the salon back home in africa but am in europe since three years and my hair is really damaged, i dont know why, but i guess i've been relaxing it the wrong way. Thanks hun for your ever helpful advice

  • hah perm my hair :P,i got natural curls and they suck.

  • your videos are always helpful...where can i purchase sensitive scalp base?

  • Your hair is pretty

  • What about mazani? ever use?

  • hey girl!! i noticed u said that u only use relaxer straight out the jar. i have tried using these type of relaxers i used motions but i felt my hair went really dry and brittle afterwards. Do u kno what could have caused this?

  • ur so cute :)

  • sometimes i might put a little something on it

  • thanks for the tips! I love the makeup tuts too. plus you're a Tuskegeean too so thats bonus points :)

  • Hey LeCheryl, Do you think Revlon is equal to Affirm perm? Have you ever tried Affirm? I'm looking for a new one the one I'm using is horrible.

    Thank you for your help.

    Vicky

  • Hello, Affirm, Epitome and Designers Touch, Revlon realistic were the only relaxers I used while working at the shop. IMO Revlon it better than affirm because it leaves your hair silky smoothe..Affirm is a great relaxer but it doesn't leave my hair feeling the way I like. To each is own though:)

  • Do you color or a rinse in your hair?

  • I use a black clairol rinse every now in again. No permanent color.

  • ur hair grows fast! u dont even have bangs any more

  • OMG i'm soooo glad you posted this! I'm over here like i've been doing it allll wrong! My ends are all crazy and fried I guess from putting perm on it? Girl I think you saved my hair lol

  • May I ask what brand flat iron you use? Or which would be a good one to use?

  • Andis..$14.99 all day at walmart..Chi who...lol.

  • wow, I was all set to Spend $100 on a chi. Guess I'll be heading to Walmart tommorow :)

    Thanks <3

  • omg... my friend has a chi... and my flat iron worksssss like just like that and i think i got my andi for like 9.99 at walmart

  • When using a Lye Relaxer, does it require the Activator that the no-lye comes with to mix? Or do you use it straight out of the jar. I used to get hair done faithfully on Thursdays but here lately...with a 10 yr old that needs hers relaxed to, I can't afford it every month.... I use the No-lye though with everything in the box. Your reply is greatly appreciated. I love all of your tutorials...thanks lady!!

  • Hi, I don't use any relaxers that I have to mix on my own..I use it straight out the jar..it comes already ready.

  • O I always c the one u held up (Revlon) and I always thought 'where is the liquid that I'm supposed to pour in it'. I know now. 1 more question... I do my own relaxers and it will be so very pretty, bouncy, shiny, etc...for the first week or so...after that it becomes dry dry dry and sticks out instead of falling gracefully on my face (or what have you). I use Olive Oil Oil sheen. Isoplus dries mine out overnight so I switched. I use a cond. faithfully. And QP moisurizer.

  • Hey Golden, just wanted to thank you for posting this tutorial. I've been relaxing my own hair since I was in middle school and relaxing the wrong f%@kin' way....no wonder my damn hair keeps breaking. lmao. I can't wait til my next touch up. This tutorial was very informative to me. Thanks so much. Oh yeah, love, love, LOVE your make up tutorials as well. Keep the videos coming!

  • proof that your hair can be relaxed and healthy! those naturals almost got me but its too much work lol! The relaxed hair started breaking off the new growth and who wants that! I love your results, as always!

  • Lol, I see those naturals got you anyways. Welcome to the club. lol

  • Girly you caught me!!! lol, i have been natural a year on feb 3, I LOVE IT, THEY GOT ME!!!!!!!

  • u got some nice ass thick edges!

  • wat leave in do u use ms lady?

  • Aphogee vitamin..no alcohol added. I mainly use it as a heat protectant before blow drying.

  • what kind of condtioners do you use? also do you use deep conditioners? your hair is really silky and straight.

  • "Straighter than a mug" indeed gurl! I know that's right! Nice and healthy.

    ~kokofemme~

  • Hi, your hair is sooooooooo pretty...can you please do a tutorial on hair products used to maintain healthy hair.

  • Thanks for posting this video. I will be relaxing my own hair in a couple of weeks and this really helps being this will be the 1st time. All of your videos are great! I noticed you mentioned in the video that hair that drys fast is a good thing? Why?

    Thanks again,

  • I need to clip my ends :( I get ridiculously attached to my hair but you have motivated me. Thanks :)

  • i guess ur right. i have waist length hair (when blown completely out) but i never trim my ends. but im so used to my length that id rather have scraggly ends as my mom calls it. but i know i need to trim at least 3 inches off.

  • I use a blow dryer with a attachment but it still comes out thick and puffy...srry had to erase what I said I thought I had said puffy

  • use a agent, like paul mitchell super skinny serum or Chi silk fushion. It will help keep the heat under control.

  • EXACTLY! when i blow dry my hair i come out lookin like krusty the clown. or like i just put my finger in a socket. it looks all static-y! and hers looked so soft, shiny, && straight. && it had movement to it.

  • Lol..Hi, are you using a heavy duty dryer..Also you want to definitely have an attachment to go on your dryer..The comb helps straighten while drying..If you try this method u should have better results:)

  • Hey GC, when you are flat-ironing what do you put on your hair to protect it? Are you doing a flat-iron tut? Thanks :)

  • Hi, I just spray olive oil, oil sheen before I start flat ironing:)

  • Girl smoother than a mug is funny lol. Your hair is so shinny and it looks s healthy.

  • LeCheryl, how do you still have hair without neutralizing????LOL.. I'm trippin on that! I would never attempt to relax without neutralizer. How do get away with that? Peace, QACC

  • Lol..I never liked the way neutralizing shampoo made my hair feel. I started perming my own hair as a teen and I ran out of neutralizing shampoo once... I called a hair stylist and asked her what could I do and she then told me about the non akaline rule..Been using it ever since..

  • explain the non akaline rule to me?? I thouht the neut. shampoo was essential. Wow, im learning so much.

  • what kind of editing programs do you use

  • WMM

  • Comment removed

  • as a heat protectant

  • i think so you wont dry the hair out

  • thanks for the vid you have really nice hair

  • I really liked watching this vid actually!

  • my hair is dry and brittle.

but everytime I get my hair done, I get it trimmed to remove the split ends.

it is super sticky and stiff!

I just want it to flow, you know?

  • My first 2 were Hair Straightening,

and then I decided to just relax it in my third try.

  • Yasmin,..It's hard to me to tell you if I can't see it or touch your hair..Is it dry and brittle...do you get your ends trimmed on the regular..These things are a big factor in healthy hair..I will do a vid today talking about how to get and maintain healthy hair..:)

  • HELP!!!

I have my hair straightened every 6 months to avoid scalp burning.

I've only done it thrice and it's thinner now because I have this unstoppable hair fall!

My question is, how do you manage to maintain it without your hair being damaged???

  • HI Yasmin, you're confusing me..are you getting your hair straightened or relaxed..there's a difference.

  • I wish you could do mine. Come on down to south Central L.A.

  • Shooooooooot....Send me a ticket girl..I've always wanted to visit California:)..

  • i love your vids goldenchild...i honestly look forward to them when i log on youtube.

do you happen to know any reasons why when i blow dry my hair, it's seem poofy afterwards?

  • Probably because the dryer isn't hot enough..check the voltage of it..The higher the voltage, the straighter it will be..also get a good comb to go on ur dryer..that helps as well. HTH.

  • Nice.
