  • I have to say thank you! On the 28th it will be 4 months since my BC and I was beginning to get frustrated with wearing the TWA look all the time but I found your video and look forward to trying both of these styles especially the puff! The fro hawk is going to be my weekend look!

  • Great video! I need to get some bobby pins, I seriously don't even have any lol.

  • it looks like ur hurting ur hair

  • I looooooove the frohawk!! And the puff is cute too! I just BC'd 4 days ago! :))

  • @njerimwangi1

i will have to try that tonic out. where did u purchase it?

  • Hey! I bought some of those hair bands and when I double it to make it tight, I notice that it leaves a imprint or welp in my head and its painful but not to much. Was yours tight when you first tried it on?

  • @choxieemerald007

yes, it was. it loosened up after the first few uses. once it became too lose i threw it away

  • I just did the big chop 2 days ago!

  • @Loveprincessmiah

congrats!! i cut the color out of my hair recently and i am now shorter than i have been ever. it will grow so fast though

  • my edges were gone just like yours from a relaxer and bad color job!! I started using wild hair grow and i swear by that oil!

  • that is sooo cute I like it......

  • I just big chopped 2 days ago How do you keep the band from popping off because that's the problem I've been having

  • Hmmm....I love it! My hair length and hair line look alot like yours right now, and I was starting to get frustrated with styling it (it's in a head wrap today, lol). Thanks for the 2 new ideas!

  • just a quick question sista.. Where did u get that stretch band from. I've been looking everywhere for them. Thank you!!

  • no disrespect at all but did you use headbands when you werent natural ? if so , my friend used to use alot of tight headbands on her hair and her edges also came out . that could be the reason. btw your very pretty !

  • the frohawk i liked

  • I really like what you did with your hair..I did the BC yesterday its rought getting used to this new hair style. Yesterday I was very sad about it, and wanted to go buy a relaxer.

  • @divafromthe80s I did my big BC 4 months ago and even though I've always rocked short cuts when I had a perm, I felt the same way you did. Slowly, I'm starting to love my hair! My sons love it also! I hope that now, 9 months later, you are loving yours as well!

  • lovez it!!!!!

  • what is twa im used to this natural hair thing?

  • it means teeny weeny afro !

  • yeah that brushin and the head band might rip out sensitive edges, thats why i've gave up using anythin but a scarf on my hairline

  • very pretty

  • you dont think pulling your hair back like that pull your edges back thats the same as a ponytail!

  • shes beautiful what are you talking about!!! lovely tone and long eye lashes

  • @UniqueTush, I'am not a moron you know, i do have eye's lol

  • i love your hair i a twa and because of you am going to try and rock my real hair

  • I love your vid! pink and pearls and the natural look is so sophisticated! Plus heres a hair tip, Ive been watching sum vids and some ppl are using peppermint oil for thier edges! I just did a transition for 4 months and I have a TWA, I just cut my hair the 15th of October 2009!

  • beaa-UU-tee-ful!

  • I love it!!! You are a god send because I needed some ideas other than flat twist in the front or just the headband

  • This style is very cute! Once my hairr gets a little longer then I wil ltry this! Thanks!

  • part of the reason why your edges may be then is because of that headband and you brushing. you may want to rub some olive oil (or some kind of natural oil) on your edges to help nurture it back to good health. brushing and those headbands aren't the best for our hair.

  • actually my edges are thin because of a perm that was too strong for my hair a few years ago. and that was my first week ever doing a puff on my hair. my edges weren't pulling with the style because they aren't long enough to get pulled into the band. i usually gel/wet my edges to hold them back. i am very happy to say that my edges are growing in nicely now since going natural. they have grown a lot more since this video :)

  • and the brush is actually one i got from sallys for babies hair so it is really soft. i love it!

  • OMG, this video is AWESOME!!!!! Just the type of info I needed for styling my own natural hair. Thank you!

  • ur welcome

  • nice puff.. i still cant get mine to look right..

  • thanks! how does yours come out that makes it not right?

  • me either...i think it cuz my hair is short along the edges...imma try some gel next time...

  • stay rocking the first look myself( so gotta love it).. and the second look was cute too.. will try it today after work, only with flat twist and rubber bands instead of bobby pins.. thnx 4 inspiration..

  • thanks! i also want to try it with twist. maybe i will the next time im not feeling lazy, lol

  • Real cute

  • thanks!

  • It's beautiful seriously, I love the first look!I'm commenting as I watch but I'm sure the second look is nice as well!

  • thank you so much!!

  • LOVE THE VIDEOS!! FINALLY SOMEONE WHO HAS ABOUT THE SAME LENGTH AS ME! LOL I think its super cute and I can't wait to try it out! Please keep them coming.

  • thanks so much! and i will try my best to bring something that might help or for you to enjoy

  • I WILL get up and make some videos soon. My face isnt looking the best right now..i had my wisdom teeth pulled so I'm puffy. :(

    But thanks again!! : )

  • om i'm going to try that! thanks much sis

  • let me know how it comes out

  • what kind of brush r u using in the beginning, looks soft?

  • it's a brush meant for a baby's hair. i got it from sally's, but I'm sure u can get something like this from just about anywhere that has baby products. it is very soft and something def. needed for my thin edges.

  • what kind of brush are you using to push ur hair back?

  • I have GOT to try a fro-hawk!

  • please do! it is such a cute style

  • You are too cute! Just one thing, when you doubled the elastic band, it looked way tight. Have you tried cutting a piece of silky panty hose to tie with? It is more gentle. The puff looks great on you!

  • Thanks! The band used to be tighter but I guess I have broken it in some :)

I do use a panty hose, as well. Made a video for that one, too. I luv that style on my hair. Sometimes I want it pulled back without the stress of the elastic.

  • OH YEAH!!! I appreciate your video sooo much! We have the same length so this really helps me figure out what to do with my hair! Thanks Again! Happy Nappy!

  • im so glad that my vids have been able to help you. I think a lot of us want to find things to do with our hair while waiting for it to grow to a certain length

  • im trying to get mine to look soft and fluffy like that all day (and not just after i condition it), as far as shea butter i guess i got the wrong kind or dont know how to use it, but i dont think it does anything for my hair, or maybe i just dont like it

  • your hair looks so soft and fluffy..what do you do to it? (is that a twist out), by the way i love that frohawk

  • thanks so much for that lovely comment! I don't do much to it except condition daily, use a daily sprtiz of different things I mix together, and use shea butter (and other oils) to seal my ends.

For this video, I didn't do a twist out before. I had only done the steps mentioned above.

  • cute girl!

  • thank you

  • Looks great. Keep up the good work!

  • Awesome!!!!

  • thanks so much

  • Your welcs!

  • yes fabulous. I am going to post a vid reply so you can see how it turned out. I love my nautral hair. It was tough cause I just chopped a couple weeks ago but it has done a complete turn around. My hair is similar to yours and I am so glad you have short hair likes mines.

  • yes, do post. i would love to see the results!

  • trying this out today. Love it. Thanks for the style. Hope mines turns out as good as yours.

  • im sure it will look fabulous! isn't natural hair just amazing?!
