Peace Yung Triff, that's an interesting question, in my opinion (ONLY MY OPINION) it would depend on the "look" that you're worried about maintaining. I have my hair palmrolled, I've never had any "brotherlock" techniques done to my mane. If I had to give an answer though, I'd say wash your hair regularly and palmroll as needed. Essentially, it boils down to personally preference.
