  • Paul!

  • I've heard this song sung by a lot of people and this is the best version I've ever heard. Melvin stepped out of the background and showed his stuff.

  • It's a new day and I'm about to cross over. Merry Christmas to all.

  • I think Paul Robeson sang this on the movie "Show Boat" back in the 20's.

  • "Ol' Man River" - Low Rumblin' Voice

  • On the intro, do the voices go Eddie, Otis, David, Paul?

  • Haven't heard this since 1968 while in service. Brought back memories. Thanks.

  • Go on Melvin, with your deep voice, Melvin was on fire on this song!!

  • For my money, the best version of this song... although their "live" album is a close second. Sang this with my group at the Spring Festival '68, at HS of Art & Design, NYC. Probably the third best version. RIP Gerald Moody and Lawrence Smith of the Four Ways... along with Paul Williams, Eddie Kendricks, Melvin Franklin and David Ruffin. I kinda know how Otis feels losing his boys. Long live the Temptations, and the Four Ways..

  • Sending you a Temptation song I think you havent heard

  • Without a doubt, the Mellow Mood album was one of the best from the Tempts. I was just a kid, but loved every song on this album.

  • The best version ever. The Temptations will never be topped!

  • this ol man river is gansta!!!! Listen to eddie in the background..kill'in them offf!!

  • I want everyone to know this is original...and it is the best!!!!

  • You said it!

  • Original? Ol' Man River comes from the 1920's.
