  • Shouldn't they paint cluster bombs in fluorescent paint, and put skulls on them, so on the outside chance they don't blow up they're easy to find and kids may understand that anything with a skull on it is a bad thing?

  • The people of Lebanon can only blame Hezbollah for waging war on Israel from their lands. the fact is the cluster bombs are very affective against rocket squads that the Hezbollah deployed, we wouldn't have used those bombs if we didn't have a good reason to.

    P.S.

the Hezbollah also used cluster bombs warheads in the 2006 war, the only difference is that the Hezbollah deliberately fired them at civilian towns while we fired ours at the Hezbollah fighters.

  • If hamas stops firing rockets isreal will stop using bombs and everyone will be happy I know its a bit optimistic but you never know though I will not be holding my breath. getting that close to the bomblet is stupid if the man or his team is injured then some poor bastard has to get them out of there

  • someone asked me if i really thought that Israel should show a callous disregard for citizens and use cluster bombs...

when they fight forest fires, they often fight fire with fire.

that leaves a burned out area with nothing left to consume

or fuel the fire. i'd be thinking differently if i was in Israel and someone

over the border thought lobbing missles and rockets was

OK. i'd push the border live zone back as far as needed

and give the citizens a chance to leave. and find cover.

  • I wish it were on purpose to think it was is retarded, they use these as IED's

  • So true.

  • This is another reason to invest in the Sensor Fuzed Weapon, which does basically the same thing to the enemy without risking leaving all these live explosives laying around.

  • Great just more crap EOD has to go disarm -_-, woohoo so looking forward to that in a year or so

  • poor quality isreali weapons not suprised

  • Thats one brave reporter..

Hope you got paid something worthy for this.

  • I would be scared to walk there o.o

  • Wars end... One 'limb' at a time !

Please add your voice to the demand for Landmines and Cluster Bombs to be banned !

    watch?v=38Z3Wr_Wjss

  • responses seem negative when innocent civilians are exposed to death and maiming from cluster bombs. why does Hezbollah place their insurgents and weapons DIRECTLY in the middle of civilian areas? the Hebrew airforce doesn't drop these things without very good reason and intelligence. area denial works! no civilians no enemy. maybe the area needs something like a DMZ to be established. keep the Hezbollah away from the Israeli state and then we can settle down and have some peace and quiet.
  • @pensive69 Thank you.

  • @pensive69 So you genuinely agree with the idea that Israel should use terrorism (thats what this method of area denial seems to be) to wage a war on terrorism? I think it displays a callous disrespect for the civillians of other countries especially when Israel are trying to take the victim stance.

  • @sweatykev01 wow years ago that was a war zone..

  • y a todos los que hacen correr sangre inocente... ya les llegará su hora.

  • That stuff "brave" NATO forces dropped all over Serbia and kill thousands of civilians! I hope they will burn in hell

  • Why would people give this video a thumbs down? lol

    Trying to hide something?

I bet they flagged it too!

  • you should N O T do this at home !!!

stay away at all costs from bomblets !!!

don't pick them up, don't move them !!!

    stupid reporter ...

  • people whine about how these kill and maim innocent civies... do you realize that the forces in this area routinely fired rockets into Jewish settlements to kill and maim innocent civies? this seems to be an appropriate balance of warfare if you want my opinion.

  • How about this. IDF and IAF upon hearing they had kidnapped soldiers immiediatly bombed civilian targets while Hezbollahs leader gave the IDF a 1 week warning to stop targeting civilians before retaliating with the rockets. Maybe you should get your facts straight asshole. 3 million of these cluster bombs were dropped carelessly on civilian areas past Beirut where no Hezbollah even operate.

  • We don't

  • I'm just kiddin. It's messed up on both sides. Killing innocent civilians probably isn't the answer. That's more of murder than warfare. No matter who's doing it.

  • we dont

  • I completely agree.

These Hamas scumbags think they can fire rockets at Israel with no consequence.

They plan attacks on Israel and target civilians and when Israel retaliates, they cry that the Israelis are the aggressors.

  • @pensive69 Of course you would think its appropriate... Because you are an asshole.

  • Banning cluster bombs is a lost cause. Better to get worldwide agreement to redesign to reduce or eliminate failures. Current mechanical "safe & self-destruct" designs are faulty as they are too dependent upon weather conditions (freezing), improper deployment (low alt, angle), mfg defects and soil/vegatation conditions. BTW, France, Italy, Chili, Russia, China & Spain have their bomblets littering E. Euro, Middle East and Africa and there ae more US eod teams clearing than all others combined.

  • @PacisTerra That you Charles? Still in Africa mate? Ring me up I have a new contract and need people.

  • Those are NOT M85's, those are M42 (usa) or KB1's from Yugoslavia. M85's have arming pin extending out of the drogue end of the bomblet.

M42 are dual purpose bomblet (frag and HEAT). Spin armed bar blocked inertia pin. These were probably deployed too low and didn't spin arm in time. "show room" condition and none appear to have damage or penetrated the soil. Looks bit fishy to me...like a set-up.

Mechanical arming designs are all subject to 1-15%+ failure rates & 100% @ improper deployment.

  • It's so touching that everyone here fails to grasp that his point is that Israel, and the US defense industry that makes the M85, has downplayed the failure rate of the self-destruct mechanisms purported to prevent problems with unexploded ordnance laying dormant and posing a hazard to innocent people, which is a huge humanitarian crisis. How would you feel if your child was killed by an unexploded bomb that "shouldn't exist"? Would that comfort you in your loss? These are PEOPLE.

  • @variatas

China makes cluster bombs too, of course their morality in such matters is nil as well.

  • Poor Lebanon. They only allowed a terrorist organization to attack Israel from inside their borders. I don't know why Israel got so upset about it.

I know that if we let Al-Qaeda build camps and bases and conduct raids on the USA from inside Canada, the USA wouldn't mind at all!

    DAMN ISRAEL!!! (sarcasm)

  • lol id laugh if he stepped on one xD

  • "as you can see it's most definately armed and definately dangerous..." ok , point a camera at it ! that's like holding a live grenade in your hand and saying "it's going to blow up any moment now and it might be dangerous to people near it "... srsly , did that guy eat stupid-o's for lunch?

  • If it blows up a bloody Lebo, leave them be!

  • u can pick those up and they work as hand grenades.... they explode on impact u jus have 2 b carful throwin them

  • My father was a bombardier in WWII in B-17's.There were always a certain percentage of bombs set on time delay fuzes with the intent to terrorize rescue and cleanup crews after a bombing raid. Many of those weapons remain unexploded underground in Germany to this day.Read the news once in a while and you will see a story of unexploded ordinance being dug up somwhere in Europe.

  • It is so touching that every comment here is so concerned with the reporter's health. Don't forget he is trying to give us a picture of a typical post-conflict children playground.

It is about them that everyone should be worried now. Go to amnesty international, sign for the end of cluster ammo. Germany just rectified it!

  • Should you stand back and throw rocks at it at a safe distance? Driving a car over it would just be a waste, and more risky.

  • watch your step LOL

  • This is done on puroise, to terroroize the civilian population.

  • @burgcochem If they wanted to do that, I can think of one or two ways for them to be way more effective about it. People accuse the powerful nations of being "brutal" but try to imagine for a second if they actually were. If they got tired of being held to a higher standard than the people they fight and fought the way the insurgents do. Imagine the bloodbath.

  • Should he be standing so close to live explosives?

  • If he really wants to solve the problem, he should try kicking it.

  • Ummm, sorry, sometimes mechanical shit doesn't work. Fucking whaaa.

  • dude, props for doing these but you don't need to put the camera up to a live bomb, I you that its armed lol

  • What, you mean the beliefs that heavily oppress women & have extremely cruel punishments for people who break absurd laws?

I don't really give a shit about Islamic beliefs, or indeed any beliefs that call for the heavy oppression of and removal of rights from a given people.

  • ah shake a mine, come on!

  • MADE IN CHINA!!!! LOL!!!!!!

  • They must have some pretty shoddy self destruct mechanisms then. Hell all i would do it makes the bombs ten percent larger and stick a ten minute timer and gernade fuse in the middle, pretty fail safe.

  • They don't all have a self destruct on them. Only the gatormines (CBU-104) have timers. That way the mines deny territory for a specified period. The 103s are just bomblets.

You can never have a 100% reliability on any weapon. Clusterbombs are hundreds of weapons in one, increasing probability of having a dud. Which is why using these are problematic. The US has to send in UOD every time we use them, to sweep the area.

  • Yeah i understand where you are coming from. What i'm saying is we should make the bombs larger and insert a fail safe into every cluster bomb type. Like a timer or an accelerometer attatched to a blasting cap or gernade fuse or similar. Give me a few million and a lab and i'll find a way! lol

  • Set the field on fire =)

  • Are you crazy to walk around there?!

  • What was their target here? An empty field, no sign of wreckage on the road...it looks like careless use of a very dangeous weapon.

  • some times grila fghiters hide in fildes like this so the classter bomb them before going in

  • Grila fighters know about cluster bombs and they know how to avoid them... these were thrown to kill civilians.

  • i find that hard to belive since does things killed alot of hizballa trorrists in the lebanon war its imbosibal to avoid them uless you have a a bunker with walles 5 inch thick at site

  • i have not heard on a single hizbullah fighter killed by cluster bombs, only children were killed by these bombs. unless you count the children as fighers then you are right.I guess in the israeli army terms these children are very dangerous. complete bullshit!!

  • Comment removed

  • i wonder what would happen if he dropped the camera on it...

  • holy fuck!!

  • shit!!!

  • It would be fun target practice to shoot those from a distance! You would definitely know when you hit one!

  • aye yes di'ney toys, ere'eem 'scribe the mickeynisms

  • Cluster Bombsare great for destorying tanks an armored columns, S.A.M site Anti Aircraft Guns sites, Artillery Sites Rockets Fixed And Moblie Infantry columns, of course there is mafuction but common in all weapons, even if ban clusters type bombs doesnt change the battlefield think if a 250or 500 ib bomb goes dud if they was not cluster types the would be calling on ban these types, all weapons hurt dont be fool you cant change anything. civilians get hurt common in war ,I wish for peaces

  • Well I'm sorry but after how many years of "not getting on very well" you would think that either children would have gotten the idea not to play with brightly coloured tins on the floor, or at least the parents/teachers/people responsible would explain to these children not to go anywhere near them...

  • well of course it's the parents fault, how could we all civilized peoples miss that one?

    damn stupid parents!

  • ur brillant Zing!. (that was sarcasm)

  • Cluster bombs tend to look like toys and usually are brightly colored, which attract children and the curious.

  • duds?? c'mon dudes, they're not duds, they are stealth mines to maim and kill evil and thererfore dangerous children (aka future soldiers) who would gayly frolick and play amongst them thar rocky hills

  • cluster bombs have all been destroyed last year

  • Not sure on that. Though the reasons (Massed troop and vehicle formations) for having them have pretty much, for the moment, gone away.

  • just use more cluster bombs to blow up those

  • Cluster bombs are and will be used. The problem is when the israelis think they're god own favorite people and think they can get away with genocide against "goyim" or whatever and cluster bomb whole villages with no military value.

  • Fucking israelies use this shit. Buch of murderous bastards.

  • you shoulda threw a rock at one of them

  • :D yeah, and then get a darwin award

  • Damn we're stupid!

  • he should be carefull^^

  • My buddy was killed, and severely wounded a bystander, trying to collect a dud cluster bomb for a souvenir. Call him a fool, but the point is that any little kid would pick one of those up. Any Bedouin or other nomadic would walk their herd or themselves right through a patch like that. War is time to kill - But after the war, we need to clean this shit off the battlefield.

  • Dumbass Arabs keep trying Israel. They are going to get their pathetic asses handed to them. Their people allow terrorist into there cities and homes, aid them and supply them. Then they expect not to be attacked in return. They just use pity and sympathy as another weapon against the true good people over there. Don't see Israel crying when they are constantly under attack. Nope, they take action to protect themselves. Keep it up my Hebrew buddies!

  • EnvyI08I every dumb comment i click on oin youtube is from an american

what the hell is wrong with you all!

    WAKE UP

and also use your youtube page its a waste of server space

  • Lol, action to protect themselves? Are fucking kidding? Thats sort of like if I broke into your house, raped your sister and stole your shit and then why you try to stop me I would yell out what an evil terrorist killer you are and shot you, claiming self defense from a psychotic agressor.

    You real "self-defense..."

  • I wouldn't go near there, let alone touch those bombs!

  • would these explode if you picked them up or are they like time bombs that any moovement might explode them? or is the status unknown till you moove one?

  • wu=ould seem likely that there dangerous if moved..bbut i dunno good question

  • That ribon means its armed, if you touch it, it could jump out of the can and blow.

    Never, ever touch it.

  • no... the ribbon is a guiding fin to keep the shock directing cone on the bottom of the frag canister facing down to destroy concrete/armour. the little latch bit round the metal ring under where the ribbon is attached to is the arming pin, that is held in place in the missile/bomb and is armed when the cluster is cracked open in flight

  • your way too biased against, so clouding your judgement that in fact they do work npaid. However in this care they did not. My oppinion matters not.

Howevev. You are darn brave guy to even go out and observe these.

I wonder why they fail? Bad design or what? More r&d needed to make them more reliably explode?

  • The mechanism did't fail. The bombs are rigged by Israeli's so that a poor palestinian kid picks it up and kills himself.

  • who was the flagger..painter??

  • Why is that guy standing so close to them when they are still very armed and dangerous, I bet they are, but there would be no way I'd get within the blast radius intentionally.

  • Hi Magic, thanks for the laugh.

  • burnedHAHA has covinced me of one thing that slack jawwed, war loving, sister fucking trailer trash still exists in high numbers in the US.

  • jokes on you thunder, he doesn't have a sister, so there.

  • Cluster bombs are excellent munitions and it is ridiculous to expect the united states to stop using a weapon as successful as the cluster bomb. Any type of munition used will have a failure rate. Even large ordnance like the 1000 or 2000 pound bombs in the US arsenal. Grow up war zones aren't meant to be safe. Hense the name war zone you retards. BTW who the fuck cares about Dublin or the 100 candy ass countries that signed a treaty to ban weapons they don't even possess.

  • It figures that the US refused to sign the treaty to ban the use of cluster bombs. Fucking murderous assholes.

  • cluster bombs r cool 2 watch but about 30% dont det properly so a mine field is left.

  • Hey I know this guy! Its Steve Irwin! "Loook at the tail on this cluster bomb." "Isn't she a beauty." " Lets see if she has any furry friends under these rocks."

  • lol, good one.

  • What? You think all bombs are perfect? If 1 in 100000 bomblets don't go off - that is a good number.

  • Wishful thinking! If 1 in 100000 did not go off it would be rather good as you say. However the failure rate is as high as 20-30% in a combat zone, leaving a number of 20-30000 duds left for every 100 000 used. That is why these bombs should be banned. And that is why 94 countries banned them in oslo on December 3.

Add another factor to the equation. It takes only minutes to disperse 100 000. It took Israel less than 3 days to scatter more than 4 million cluster bombs in southern Lebanon.

  • They did'nt seem to bother this guy who was sniffing them. Maybe you have to chew on them or put them in an old dryer for a while you watch football.

  • This is probably Kosovo province, in south of Serbia... The terrain looks the same. Those who support the use of cluster bombs should see what happens when those bombs hit civilian area. Try to see the movie from Nis, Serbia, from 1999. NATO bombing campaign...

  • On 28 May 2008 diplomats from more than 100 countries meeting in Dublin in Ireland agreed on a draft treaty outlawing cluster bombs.

I just would like you to think about,

1.Why Sri Lankan government using this kind of bombs on innocent Tamil people?

2.Why TMVP(Tamil Makkal Viduthlip Pulikal) did not comment on this?

3.Why not Robert Blake taken any action on this case?

    4. why Sri Lankan goverment Controlling both Sinhala and tamil media. etc.

  • Cluster bombs are COOL! I suggest you watch videos of them in action.

  • australian pricks

  • shoot it with a bb-gun :P

  • or a firecracker

  • i dare you to pick it up while smashin it with a lighter lol

  • This video is shocking...these bombs are coward weapons, and should be banned since they can kill civilians by not self-destructing as they should.

There are more "correct" weapons to be used in such situations.

  • Just kick it and run

  • 1 single word describes my reaction-

    RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1 brave dude messing around in there

  • ...or one silly dude. His camera has a zoom lens. I guess he forgot this function in order to be more dramatic. BTW why is the area not cordoned off? If potential munitions were known to be in this area how come he was allowed in to fiim them? He's a reporter not a EOD or munitions/weapons expert. Lucky he didn't drop his handheld camera when he stuck it so close to potentially live munitions...or whatever he was led to belive they were.

  • hey look its armed! Lets stick our face in it! lol just kidding. Those need to be disposed of!

  • In average up to 15% of the munitions do not detonate and turn into sort of land mines. many many innocents, especially children, die from these. Kids like to touch unknown things... sad. This is why many organizations struggle to ban cluster munitions in conventional war.

  • evolution has turned man from a cave man to a rational thinker... I don't have to beat the crap out of you for you to understand my point. that in itself is evolution, the ability to use the brain instead of the fist. Humans are above "Survival of the Fittest", at least in the developed world, or tell me, when was the last time you killed another human for survival? the ability to use diplomacy is a sign of social evolution.

Be true to yourself, wish for war in your own land, see how it feels.

  • I'm not an anti-war protester or anything but this does show that we need to get better control of our government contractors. Not only is this a waste of money (our money) with unexploded cluster bombs that should have exploded and are now just laying all over the ground. Not only women and children could come into contact but what about our troops? What if they were travelling at night and came across these unexpectably? It's a disaster waiting to happen.

  • The U.S. needs to quit pretending to care about what the world thinks! Crushing all Islam is good thing! Those backwards monkeys would have you liberals beheaded 100 at a time if they could. You should be happy there are still barbarians like us left to deal with these scum! Survival of the strong, the weak MUST not pollute our gene pool!

  • you're nuts

  • You're Drunk .... I'm getting there... What I want to know is, " who touched you the wrong way?"

Your type of American is scared. the funny part about it is that YOUR type only fears the unknown and what is chosen to be ignored.

I tell you what, go back to school and pay attention in social studies class, YOUR type of people started WW2.

Still, you cannot be hated, you're but a simpleton. I personally can't stay angry with the ignorant.

Get me through to your Mother!

  • Actually, I am sober! MY type of people didn't start WWII they ended it! What liberal BS would you have me learn from some socialist professor whose never even stepped foot in the middle east tell me? I know first hand how ignorant the dirty arab culture is! Murderers and thieves the lot of them! I stand with tens of millions of my fellow Americans in defiance to Islam and the PIGS that practice it! I pray every day for good bombing weather in Iraq & Afghanistan, as an American you should too!

  • **go back to school and pay attention in social studies class, YOUR type of people started WW2**

Um, unless the Liberals that took over the Education system in the late 70's have re-written the books (if they even know what books are) then History will Show Germany and Japan started world war 2 and the U.S. remained officially neutral till Pearl Harbor.

But with Liberal Edumacation misleading the masses to believe in "CO2 GLobal Warming","Evolution" & Big Brother Socialism I am not surprised

  • Y'know it's just fun to bother you. Especially since you're wrong. First, all, I'll grant that Germany and Japan "started" WWII, and that the USA decided to stay neutral until Pearl Harbor. What you're wrong about is that the original post was that "YOUR KIND" of people started it. That is to say "warmongers". Not Americans.

Also, evolution is not as dubious as some would think.

  • **Also, evolution is not as dubious as some would think.**

Micro Evolution, or adaption of a species as Darwin put it, is real just look at how the same birds and same animals develop adaptations in different enviroments.

Macro-Evolution, the ability for one species to mutate enough to tuen into a new species is not provable in the feild or the lab.

Attempts to mutate "hardcoded" DNA that determines species always leads to the sample "self-destructing".

  • A huge portion of our scientific knowledge is "not provable in the field or lab", its called observational science. Obviously things dont always have to be repeatable to construct credible scientific theories. This being said, its a ridiculous assumption to say 'micro' won't become 'macro' on a larger time scale.

  • **This being said, its a ridiculous assumption to say 'micro' won't become 'macro' on a larger time scale**

    No.

Premordial goop has been shocked in the lab millions of times and life has never been spontaniously created from it (lots of lipids and ammono acids though)

We can manipulate sequencing to do things like make a fly grow 4 wings or legs for atenea, but try to switch "Hard DNA" to make a fly a beetle and the mutant dies

Yet your precious theory claims this can happen "by accident"?

  • **Yet your precious theory claims this can happen "by accident"?**

To clarify, Genetic Engineers have noted the difference in "Hard DNA" that determines a species and "Soft DNA" which is less then 1% of the Sequence that controls the kind of Adaption that Sarwin speaks of within a species to a certain local.

Any Attemptes to force mutation of "hard DNA" causes the sequence to self destruct and the mutant subject in turn dies in the same way cancer kills it's host so,no Mutation to new species

  • Creation of life from primordial goo is another subject. There's mountains of material to support evolution. I dont see the point in bringing it here since you dont even acknowledge the basics of evolution. It's not 'by accident'.. there's the element of natural selection. And once again; there's no reason to think that a million small changes wont bring forth a big difference.

  • why are there any signs of explosions?

  • Yes! All muslims are the same. Muslim children grow up to be terrorists, we are nipping the problem in the bud! Palistine danced in the streets when my brothers were killed in the twin towers. They should ALL die! ALL! Kill them ALL and let God sort it out! Mercy is for the weak! WWRD (what would the Romans Do?)

  • wtf?

  • you're nuts

  • How do you know he didn't plant them there?

Anyway, who cares? I wish we would cluster bomb the west bank and the gaza strip!

  • Don't have much stock in the future, do ya? Do you really think that? Could you honestly look at each man, woman and child in the eyes and put a bullet through their head. If not, then why say that? if yes, then i hope you are not in a position to educate children about society and what makes it function.

  • Yes! I do believe in the complete and utter destruction of the enemies of freedom! It is a must in order for peace to reign! Japan and Germany are evidence of that truth! War is Hell! We are at war with radical Islam. And yes, I am responsible for the education of 250+ young men and women who hear me speak the truth everyday.

  • Isn't that the same view hitler had towards the jews? Are all muslims the same? Why kill children. They don't have a choice in what to believe. They are just as brain washed as you. To label everyone in palestine an islamic radical, who should die, is utterly retarded. don't you think your words sound just like the terrorists'. Damn your so fucking stupid. I am sure many of those poor kids are moral enough to not subscribe to your RADICAL ideas. I bet you still believe in god. sad. so sad.

  • you again!

If you fight for diplomacy as much as you fight with weapon, no one dies. War is glamorous to those that have never lived it.

Go to your local morgue and hug a dead body, if you remain intact and sound of mind, I have wasted my time talking to a sociopath. If that is the case, you should still join the armed forces. hug all the dead you want in in a war zone.

call for death and destruction? why can't we just talk it out. are we not rational?

  • No. There's a reason that over the course of human history there has existed war and crime.

Diplomacy doesn't solve crap save for when one side grows weary of fighting.

  • *No. There's a reason that over the course of human history there has existed war and crime.

Diplomacy doesn't solve crap save for when one side grows weary of fighting*

    Well,

If you can talk then talk

Problem with the Democrats and Liberals thinking that the Jihadist wouldn't chop their heads off when they chose not to believe the way the Jihaist do is that they live in the U.S. and not the Middle East were they would have been murdered by now

Liberals forget Jihadist attacked US on 9-11

  • He who wishes for war and destruction has never been seen it.

By the way, Screw political affiliation of any kind...

in regards to economic inferastructure (of both sides) , why not reach a compromise before money is spent on spilling blod insatead of buying books?...

ultimately the muslim radicals want something. right?.Their acts of terrorism are only the symptom, what motivates them to carry on? Why not Inform one's self, i mean were talk of life and death.

    That's diplomacy

  • He who wishes for war and destruction has never been seen it.

Oh, I get it. Because I have seen that war "and destruction" has shaped our history more than peace talks and accords, I WISH for war. That's right. I'm PRAYING for the next siege of a nation.

    Idiots.

  • What?

  • I did?

  • This is a viable and reliable weapon. The effective rate of these is about the same as using a condom, accidents happen

  • self destruct sounds like a lot of propaganda.

  • looks like Lebanon after Hizbullah attacked ISrael The IAF dumped a load of Cluster bombs on them.

  • Wow amazing they dicovered duds. I never new some bombs didn't go off. What was the point of this? If there was one 1000lb dud bomb there would that be better?

  • is there a reason for your literacy problems.

  • No typos slipping past you huh

  • lol sorry Just jackin with ya bro.

  • The dud rate is the main body of the concern with cluster munitions. the self destruct mechanism is supposed to bring the dud rate down to 1% instead of the 5-10% these munitions have stock. it doesn't actually work, but wasting money to help the orphaned third world country kids helps rich nations citizens sleep.

  • omg why are all these people saying stupid shit like "must be made in china"...

    thats kinda sad..

  • LOL fail, do you work 4 the fuckers that droped that load? sounds like it!!!!!!!

  • how do they deploy only if it vibrates?

  • kick it

  • Serbs used cluster bombs on us in croatia, and many children were killed after the attacks besause they found unexploded bombs in the cities

  • The Pentagon announced Monday (july 07 2008) that the U.S. military would continue to use and export even the most unreliable cluster bombs over the next decade.

This policy decision comes shortly after 111 countries, including major NATO allies, agreed to a global treaty banning cluster bombs.

The new policy states that the United States will not impose restrictions on the use or export of cluster bombs, including those with high failure rates, until 2018.

  • Unsatisfactory CB systems should be replaced with better. But I don't think those price fool politicians have any clue at all, of the ultimate consequences of signing something like a ban on cluster bombs. Nor do their ignorant, spoiled, pacifistic, populations that they represent.

  • real sad :/

  • Why dont you morons do some research before vomiting these pathetic comments. It is an extremely effective munition. It saves the lives of those it is designed to.

  • True that. This is one bomb out of what, about 114 bomblets? Jesus. Thats almost 99% efficiency. More than you can say for any other weapon we use.

  • Duds do not discriminate, they just kill. Too many duds and you will be unable to enter the area yourself.

  • When dropped in cities and towns, they kill everyone, soldier and baby alike.
