They probably had to get all the homeless people,drifters,drug addicts and street kids out of the area to film that commercial at the time,I remember that commercial quite well,man the nineties kinda ruled,but man this commercial reminds me of how much Lodo and Denver for that matter has changed!!!

Colorado gets WGN over the air (before the DTV transition) it was the only baseball we could watch. I myself was a cubbies fan before becoming a huge rockies fan.

OK, maybe the Red Sox handed the Rockies a sweep in the World Series, but the poor kid was wearing a Cubs hat.

The last time the Cubs where in the World Series was 1945 and the last time the Rockies where in the Fall Classic was---, well get the picture.

But the expansion was announced earlier..about 1990 or 91. Denver was among one of the cities in a competition of sorts for one of the two new franchises, which would begin play a few years down the road. Of course the cities of Denver and Miami were chosen and began play in 1993, which, coincidentally, was the last year before MLB changed the format to three divisions per league instead of two.

lol, I think the rockies came in 94 or 93'. Maybe I'm wrong but I remember going to there games when I was really young and the team had just started.
