Ah see there is where you miss understand, for its my dog, and my mum on the vid, it cant understand her voice but because she was getting so annoyed with it, my dog got excited and started barking, the ds took the bark as a correct answer, it did it with all different words.

I wonder what's the problem for those people. the voice recognition works pretty well for me, maybe because the german one's better than the english one. It sometimes doesn't get "schere", though...

How many regional accents are there in Germany though? and are they different enough that you can't understand some people when they speak quickly? Esepcially how some words are pronounced in the other regions.

Bavarian and eastern german accents are pretty hard to understand, especially if it's a talk between two people who natively speak that accent. Most germans don't have problems speaking hochdeutsch even if they're eastern german or bavarian, I think...
