Alana, i had transverse myelitis to, i had a reoccurence called ADEM myelitis which swells the brain. I followed your story years ago. and i just want you to know. never stop the fighting, i was paralyzed at one point from myelitis. god, good eating(boos protein shakes) and strong will helped me walk again.... < also holy water. try it!

i like the music i was paralyzed at 13 my muscles r atrophy or were supposed to be...i started prayin like never b4...i..i get horrible spasms...apparently rthey kept my muscles alive long enough i start pt tommorow again..im 24 n they think imight walk again normally...i'm scarred to fail...but i know it cant get any worse right now..n even if i get better..they say it could happen again...this is the hardest journey i've trecked.
I hope God gives you the strength to soldier on! You look exactly the same. And over time you will only get more beautiful! May you always be surrounded by love and laughter. I wish we stopped making war and spent money on basic research to understand diseases like TM. I am a PhD student at Virginia Tech and know research money is tough to come by. OMG! David Cook kissed you! =) David is such a great person. I also got to meet him and his family. Your video made me cry.I know the feeling of just having to stay positive and keep a smile on your face. I had a stroke my junior year of high school and was in the hospital for two weeks not able to move. Your video is now in my fave. list and i watch it every time I am having a bad day. Stay positive and keep that smile on your face. You are a great girl! You have inspired me.
