In the 70's I was in a local band in Brisbane, we all went to Toowoomba to see Billy live at the showgrounds. He was amazing. On the way back to Brisbane we stopped at a roadhouse and Billy was there.He was so friendly and caring for us after he found out we were in a band. He was playing at the Chevron Hotel in Surfers Paradise the next week. He said come along and mention my name at the door and I'll get you in for free. He acknowledged us in the audience. What a talented sweet man.

Bought Tangier 3 days ago, listened to it when I wnet for a run and this track hit me where I live...just sublime, I sent this track to my wife who has been traveliing for 6 months and I miss her like crazy...that's who Billy is singing about.

A great track. Tell me please who is Billy singing about? I read this is one of the tracks from the "Tangier" album which has taken 10 years to make and sadly he passed on before it was released.

according to the Tribute Video version of this song he was singing about his mother. I just got Tangiers and I glad to have it .
