these guys are touring ireland again in may and june one of my boyfriend bands C'oneil and co are supporting them look it up if ya dyin to see them live i know i am
I was lucky to interview for a french radio, Whipping Boy twice in 1996. They told me Echo & The Bunnymen was their main influence. I went to a french tv program to see them performing "We don't need nobody else". It was awesome! Also, they did the opening show for Lou Reed at the Zenith in Paris the same year. "When we were young" is a brillant song: great lyrics, catchy melody, good production...You can find a different version (the "Philo Version") of the song on a maxi cd. Great band...
@TRAVOLTIK I think im even luckier to perform with them next month with my band Race the Flux. You should come along...Spain isn't too far from Ireland!
Best bit is when it switches from the loung act Whipping Boy to the real Whipping Boy - the bit at 1.24, the lady with the open arms, is incredibly joyous
Anyone know if the band are planning any gigs in England/Wales?
