It's just a thought, but Terra's little flash made me think it could've been Xehanort- maybe he lived at Destiny Islands when he was young! There was also that very first scene of the game... where he's staring off into the sunset.

@reaperff7 if im not wrong, the guy who left the islands for good was master xehanort. the man u saw was him as a younger kid. his original home is destiny islands ^^ i think i read it in an interview with nomura.

And cause Terra got *spoilers spoilers spoilers* by Xehanort, and Riku and Terra walked the same paths, Riku was mistaken as the "Superior."

Remember, there are about 3 others apart from Sora, Kairi, and Riku, who were on the island, it could have been either one of them.
