@Snagrit Well they don't "align" on that day but the were both held in high regard in Egypt. Orion held the spirit of Osiris and Sirius was Isis' star that herald the rising of the Nile. The three stars that make up the belt of Orion do seem to point towards Sirius, if off by a bit.
@Snagrit Any astronomy simulation software (free stellarium) will show you the 3 Orion’s belt stars point to Sirius, and these 4 stars DO point to where the sun will rise the next day during the winter solstice (December 22, 23, & 24). This alignment is progressive the days and months before but not precise until the winter solstice arrives and starts to get off the mark again the following dates after Christmas day getting further and further off as time progresses.
@Snagrit The ancient Egyptians identified Sirius with Osiris, so you need to set your astronomical view from Egypt and the software even lets you see what the night sky looked like in that country in 2000 B.C, with a winter solstice happening then in January 4, 5 & 6.

I tried to research this stuff about Horus being a virgin birth etc... and I didn't find any credible sources to indicate that he was indeed born of a virgin. I used to be a massive fan of Zeitgeist and I was very disappointed when I found a lot of its claims simply lacked any solid evidence...

Dec 25th is a figure of speech for winter solstice since the Gregorian calendar wasn't implemented until 1582. Ra, Osiris, Horus are all sun gods & are often interchangeable. I have educated myself - now just admit you've never read Christ in Egypt & that you're pretending to be an expert.

@Snagrit Well they don't "align" on that day but the were both held in high regard in Egypt. Orion held the spirit of Osiris and Sirius was Isis' star that herald the rising of the Nile. The three stars that make up the belt of Orion do seem to point towards Sirius, if off by a bit.

@Snagrit Any astronomy simulation software (free stellarium) will show you the 3 Orion’s belt stars point to Sirius, and these 4 stars DO point to where the sun will rise the next day during the winter solstice (December 22, 23, & 24). This alignment is progressive the days and months before but not precise until the winter solstice arrives and starts to get off the mark again the following dates after Christmas day getting further and further off as time progresses.

@theprankster1account Calm down I just read both comments and your making up some whoppers that comment I read from Bangin doesnt say go kill yourself ..The comment says go roll into a fetal position .. = Put yourself in a position like a baby in a womb.. Surprised that you can't read properly , Your comments are coming across like sensationalist reporting like a journalist from a sunday paper .

@theprankster1account I've made no claims for anyone to refute or to abuse me for. As people can see theres something wrong if you have to abuse someone else for a difference of opinion and that goes for you and Hercules. Personally I don't need to berate or belittle someone because they think differently then I do. The fact you suggests you need scrutinize those feelings because they're only a reflection of your precariousness, not anyone else.

@Hercules2345 I've noticed that atheists are they most preachy dogmatic people you'll ever meet . Always trying to debunk Jesus , if your happy in your unbelief why the need to pursue it . Study all you want , if you know and are secure then let it be . But I got a feeling you baffoons aren't secure. Jesus is lord !

hmm both jesus and Horus walked on water, healed the sick, and cured the blind. They both had gaps from age 12 until 30, when they were both baptized. They were both killed and came back to life on the third day. Gee, I TOTALLY don't see any similarities there.. ;)

huh? who first? jesus or horus? or, the idea of jesus is the son of god are coming from this horus? i know it.. there is only one god afterall.. iskk.. i'd also seen it that most of the religion in this world include the not famous religion, their god are somehow have the very same detail as horus... ??? and i now that this horus is not god....

FAIL. all these claims were debunked years ago. but like all christian haters, they lookm for information in one direction. and believe anything they hear, as long as it supports their theory.

I'm a former saved, baptized Xian of a couple decades and I original set out to prove this astrotheology stuff wrong. The overwhelming mountain of evidence is on her side. One would have to be biased or ignorant to deny that. Let me guess, you've never read a single one of her books?

I've seen most every anti-Zeitgeist and every anti-Acharya S video & blog out there. I have yet to see one actually debunk them based on objective and serious research. I've seen loads of ignorance, biases, prejudice, misogyny, hatred & bigotry though.
gordonculp, here's where you admit you also haven't read a single book by Acharya, including the book in this very video you are posting in.
