  • Best song on Final Cut in my opinion... I can't believe Roger kicked Rick out just for having musical differences and Roger having such a big ego, it really hurts me Roger couldnt get that stuff out of the way for his music and look what he did with this album, he almost DESTROYED the band he spent 15 years trying to take to the top all for a big ego...

  • Who cares what it's about as long as the kids go!!!!!

  • fuckin fantastic

  • wow should change it to wily Chinese lol.

  • you actually think that pros/cons or anything roger did without floyd is amazing? all i have to say is get your lips off the crackpipe my friend , yes its true roger has a way with words but its gilmour who is the musician . and thats the most important part of the music biz

  • @swgurrl Talented musicians are a dime a dozen. Writers are not. You didn't like Amused to Death? It was a masterpiece that rivals Floyd's best. .

  • glory and eternal rest for those who died during the 82 conflict ........ because of people from the Fletcher Memorial Home.........never again.

  • never going to hear brilliant bands like this ever again. absolute excellence. if you like pink floyd the final cut, try radio kaos- roger waters.

  • did u ever hear the edit he says SNUFF all that and not FUCK all that

WTF!? that is like changing the mona lisa's hair color

  • Yay it's uncensored!

  • Does this video REALLY make ANY sense here? I mean, what the hell was Roger Waters THINKING? Or...was he even thinking in the first place? Great song, though.

Oh, by the way, Mr. Roger Waters--you'd make a GREAT villain.

  • Sometimes the pieces all just fall in the right place at the right time. They made good albums together. They made good albums with Roger at the helm. All great things must end sometime, but for now....... Fuck all that, we gotta get on with the film show

  • think alot of people here miss the point that Roger Waters was making with this song, apart from being a great piece of music it tells the story of the down fall of British heavy industry!! Both the "the final cut" & "the wall" are more than just albums!! There a snap shot of british culture and politics at there time of release! No doubt that Gilmour is a legend on the guitar, but the songs on these albums would mean nothing without the lyrics and emotion layed down by Waters!

  • Why bother discussing what musician is most accomplished? There are so many things you don't know about how Pink Floyd or The Beatles actually worked together. All you have is speculations and hating.

  • The guys let down with this portion...It just does not tell the story well enough the video is to vague and is only OK. Frankly... this portion is a disappointment. So far parts 1 and 2 were exactly as I expected... now for part 4...

  • fuck all that!

  • The Beatles suck the only people that were good were Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison, John Lennon was a irresponsible drug addict that needed his ass kicked effing Hippie.

  • @Psychotron67 thats wrong, Richard starkey is not a genius, Lennon was, but you cannot comprehend what happened to Lennon in his childhood, it was hard, life was very hard to him, what did you excpected from John? a joyful person? come ooooooonn!!

  • FUCK A LL THAT

  • Thanks for uploading this dude.

This song was a great anthem back in the days of St. Ronnie, the Ruskie bear and the Japanese car threat of the early 80's.

The vinyl record sounded very good as well I recall.

The "Stuff all that" version just doesn't do it for me.

  • @elfinarcher84 Funny story they just cut the Fuck all That down and put Stuff all that over it.... So its still there really.....

  • ha-ha shu ron u r -GILMOUR shreds this one. Ineed a dirty woman-FLOYD 4 EVER time to watch THE WALL flick-be cool ROG. sorry for your loss (SYD B.) I MET YOU in 1984 in the marriott in connecticut when u had CLAPTON W/YOU-we shook hands briefly,ROGER WATERS I AM MIKE WATRAS. WHO WAS YOUR GUTAR BACK-UP PLAYER THAT NIGHT?he wore all green, green hat too???

  • LOUDER-LOUDER-LOUDER!!!!!!!!!

  • this is the second video MTV played,is there anybody out there-that remembers or too much LSD?I met Rog.Waters,what a limpy handshake.Poor old SYD.B.we love &miss you-GOD BLESS.....Floyd Forever,Not Now John-in a nuke reactor???Gilmoure kicks ass!!!

  • 2nd video MTV played? That would have been a good trick. MTV first aired Aug 1, 1981. Pink Floyd's Final Cut wasn't released until about a year and a half later in March of 1983. It happens that the 2nd video aired on MTV was Pat Benetar's "You Better Run" And yes... Gilmore kicks ass!!!

  • Fail

  • this is the second music-video on MTV does anyone remember or too much LSD or what?check out the third worlder who cant figure out the time clock...FUK ALL THAT!!! Floyd at their prime!!!!!!!!

  • Fail

  • i liked david and roger together but, IMO...david doesn't have the depth in writing as roger does...pros and cons was AMAZING, AND AMUSED TO DEATH...WOW...

  • I agree

  • @allmine9 Amused To Death is a beautiful piece of work

  • @allmine9

But Roger can't make a guitar cry and scream, DG is gifted.

  • Without filosofys, and preferences, and others words: the Gilmour guitars in this song, is perfect, your voice, like a FINAL CUT in the PINK FLOYD jobs, in your final work, in the rest of original band, anymore... TANKS AGAIN FLOYD

  • does no one remember Syd Barrett then?

  • yes. and i prefer pink floyd afterwards.

  • who is best, waters or gilmor? they both are! but together they were fantastic! just a crying shame they are not still together!!!!

  • "scusi dov'è il bar ( (What?) se para collo pou eine toe bar s'il vous plait ou est le bar (...say it in English!...) oi, where's the fucking bar John? (Oh, now you're talking!)" Oh! Rule Britannia! Britannia rules the day Down! Go, Maggie! Hammer, Hammer, Hammer, Hammer, now!
  • What is he saying?

    S'cusi il dove toe bar

    What does that mean?

  • gilmour owns waters!

  • agreed Waters was great but got too big for his britches and had to learn the hard way . This cd whil awesome was the lowest seller of all time only tied by Meddle for Floyd . Keep that in mind . While it sold 3+ million thats nothing for Floyd and in 87 when Gilmour's Floyd released Momentary Lapse of Reason it instantly sold 9 million and they were back on track . Anyone thinks he can't handle the writting burden just listen to that cd . Awesome

  • I wanna sell. You wanna buy? we could sell! Solid sell!

And after a while, you can work on points for style.

Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,

A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,

So that when they turn their backs on you,

You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

  • if this is your favorite floyd then your just a roger fan because every album they made was their best and if you think floyd sucks without roger ur not a fan

  • Your statement is meaningless. There is no floyd without roger waters. They do not exist. Only a few guys who pretend to be pink floyd. Its like the Beatles without lennon would not be the Beatles.

  • Pink Floyd, like the Beatles, had two geniuses. Beatles had Lennon/McCartney. Floyd had Waters/Gilmour. Take away any of these and you'd have no band. Floyd sucks without Roger OR Gilmour. Or Barret. Bands are complicated things, you can't possibly predict what they would be like without characters like these.

    By the way, fantastic song.

  • I concur to an extent. I used to think Roger Waters was everything in Pink Floyd, until I listened to the Final Cut. It just sounded like it was lacking something, the only exception is this song, Not Now John, which happens to be the only one David Gilmour sings on. Pink Floyd was best when David and Roger split things a little more evenly. On the other hand, last summer I went to see Roger Waters on tour twice, and if David Gilmour were to come around I probably wouldn't spend the money.

  • You are an A+ Idiot. Please stop posting on this site.

    Thank You.

  • @DasRies

you can't possibly sum up late Rogers-Floyd with a statement like that.....Rogers was the basis of Floyd...Gilmour was the brilliant guitar player that added his touch.....and ...I have no comment about the beatles..next I'll be commenting about the Monkees

  • @TheDoppelstranger I just did. BARRET was the basis of floyd, Waters took over the conceptual side of them after Barret fell apart, and Gilmour/Wright took over on the musical front.

  • @TheDoppelstranger I just did. BARRET was the basis of PF. After he fell apart, Waters took over the conceptual side of Floyd, and Gilmour/Wright took over the musical side. In general.

  • @DasRies u are wrong. where is rick?? rick is one great musician or i would say genius half step behind roger and david who wrote great songs. i dont wanna forget nick but he is one drummer not technical the best drummer, but one who perfect fit in pink floyd and their psychedelic, progressive and space music

  • @kronid Wright was probably the most technically proficient member of PF, but his contribution wasn't as significant because he didn't have the same songwriting ability as Gilmour or Waters. I love him, don't get me wrong, but he wasn't key to the band.

  • @DasRies they are not comparable to the duet mccartney/lennon, pink floyd had only one genius and that was Waters, the poor Gilmour its only an excellent musician, but that doesnt makes a genius. Good night!

  • @gabbo1974 i assure you, waters was the mastermind, but gilmour created the best solos ever written (time, young lust, etc, etc, etc) which roger would ve never done. Nick made all the effects in all of their albums and made PF stand during Momentary Lapse and Division Bell (Learning to Fly, Great Day Freedom & High Hopes) which without him they wouldve been David s crappy solo albums and the keyboards all over The Wall and Wish You Were Here, and Dark Side and Atom Heart completed the PF sound.

  • @santiagodebellavista crappy solo? w/e

  • @santiagodebellavista without Gilmour water is shit so f u

  • @DasRies but you can't forget the other members as well, who all contribute in their own ways.

  • @newdivision00 sure I can

  • @DasRies I think the Beatles is the band that brought us new culture, but if you'll listen to songs of the Beatles it is bullshit.... but when you are listening to Pink Floyd [Barret times only] you feel full ...

  • @DasRies I dont see whats genious in singing tralala songs about love, please dont but beatles in the same sentence as Pink Floyd.

  • @DasRies I dont see the what's genious in singing tralala songs about love, please dont bring up Beatles in the same sentence as Pink Floyd.

  • @DasRies Lennon is dead and rightly so, what a wanker, beatle's music is shit like elvis, Ha Ha another dead CUNT

  • @DasRies Lennon is dead and rightly so, what a wanker, beatle's music is shit like elvis, Ha Ha another dead CUNT

  • @Solnce39 Troll harder, faggot.

  • @DasRies

That's not very nice, i didn't insult you, still your just a typical american, quite arrogant selfish and greedy

  • @Solnce39 Try subtlety. I hope this helped :)

  • @Solnce39 stfu

  • @Solnce39 Go back to your Beiber vids ya little bitch !!!!!

  • @DasRies

by the way - that song is written only by Waters, without interference whatsoever by Gilmour...

  • yin and yang man, gilmour and waters need each other like a man needs a beer.

  • i never thought that David Gilmour sings in this song. his voice sounds so similar to Waters'. and besides the solo in this song resembles to me the one at Young Lust.

  • So do you guys understand how this song fits in with the theme of the album? It's like a big middle finger to everything that came before it on the album, like saying "Quit with all the bleeding heart crap, we have business to take care of. No time for contemplation," and the next song, "two songs" is like the result of such an attitude.

  • yeah. In many ways its like Have a Cigar. I guess the meaning was well concealed for Gilmour this time.

  • animals is my favourite album. i love it all tho!

  • from an experienced floyd fan the final cut is the best of all their albums and this is one of the best non-commercial songs they ever done by far one of the greatest songs ever written/sung bty floyd

  • AGREE WITH YOU ON THE BEST ALBUM. WHERE'S THE FKN BAR JOHN??? lol

  • an experienced floyd fan? so somehow your opinion is bigger than others? its all opinions and this isnt the best floyd album at all. This isnt floyd, its waters.

  • I think you'll find I never stated that my opinion was bigger or worth more than any others like yourself I just wanted to share my opinion and I think you will find that the album is by Pink Floyd not Waters albeit that Waters did do the work on the album as by this point in the floyds timeline he was a bigheaded pompus twat. None the less it is still an album by the band Pink Floyd.

  • thats gilmor singing during the verse

  • creatively waters was in full control, thats what i mean. it wasnt a collaborative effort

  • i'm a big floyd fan but now that pink floyd is without waters floyd sucks thy need waters

  • s'cusi dove il bar

se para collo pou eine toe bar

s'il vous plait ou est le bar

just incase u was wondering what rog wa yelling about...btw weres the bar john?

  • im dont really like this album or the wall, they are good, im just saying in comparison to other albums (animals, Darks side, wish you were here and meddle)

  • how cares who is abetter singing this is a good song by a good band so shut the fuck up.

    fuck all that good line

  • Thats David Gilmour singing..Waters solo..lol..he's nothing with Gilmour!

  • Without!

  • This the only song of FC that Gilmour sang. Waters is obsviouly better.

  • neither one of them are good without the other. Waters by himself=not great.

Pink Floyd without Waters=good not great.

  • gilmour and waters share vocals on this song

  • Yes, they both play different characters or viewpoints.

  • Pink Floyd is the best, with and without Rick Wright, with or without Roger Waters.

  • Final cut is the best Rogers solo album.

  • It actually wasn't a solo album. Roger just didn't let Richard do anything.

  • yes, i know, i just mean - this is more Rogers album as pink floyd

  • this is as much as a roger water solo album as a momentary laspe of reason is a gilmour solo

  • i like it better then stuff all that

  • Fuck all that "stuff all that"!!!

  • Gilmour sings in the very begining when he sings stop all that! (not the original lyrics by the way) oriaginal is f all that. Then after that waters sings.

  • As Good as this Album is and this song It Definately was a Rogers Waters Solo Album. Also they said that The final Cut was nothing more then songs the were offered for The Wall Album but rejected. David Gilmore even said to Roger Waters They weren't good enough then why are they good enough now.

  • This album was a tribute to roger waters father, who died in ww2. This is the album that caused the band to split until the berlin wall tribute show.

  • until then? You mean the concert that Roger assembled with various artists to replace his band... oh, you mean that one?

  • No we're talking about the so-called albums with a name of Pink Floyd tacked onto them.....with approx. 50 hired on help employees trying to replace Roger!

  • All Fabrications....... calm down everybody, it happens.

  • Roger Waters composed this album, I believe.

  • He did Indeed.

He wrote the lyrics and music, and he is also on lead vocals in every song except "The Gunner's Dream"

  • I too have mixed feelings about this album. I consider it to be Roger's first solo album, using Dave & Nick as mere "sidemen". Hell- nick was even bumped off "Two Suns"..; and Rick wasn't even on this album. Still, it IS a fine record, but it's not Pink Floyd to me.

  • The only song on the Final Cut that featues David Gilmour as a singer... sad sad :( Roger just HAD to take everything over... not that I hate this album, I LOVE IT, but I wish he would have let David and the rest of the band contribute to this album, even though they were fed up by this time.

  • Allright it's The Original version! not the CLEAN Version.

  • cant stop lose job mind gone silicon what bomb get away pay day make hay break down need fix big six clickity click hold on oh no bingo!
  • thank you. i was having trouble following it all these years. :)

  • Can't Stop, lose job, mind gone, silicon, STOP BOMB, what bomb, get away, pay day, make hay, break down, need fix, big six, click click, hold on, oh no! BINGOOOO!!

You forgot the Stop Bomb part before the "what bomb" part... you must have read the sleave booklet 'cause it doesn't include that line also.

  • thx. was wondering why it still wasn't fitting. i have the album but no booklet.

  • Actually, I think it's Stockholm. Could be Stop Bomb, though.

  • the best time to listen to this album is 5 in the morning when yer coming down.

  • FUCK ALL THAT!!!

  • excellent tune!
