A really groovy deconstruction of TNK, drums right up there with Ringo and the vocals are very emotional. I like the 801 cover more but this is original, these guys love the song, they are not trying to copy it and that's what makes it a standout.

I like the little ode to "Everybody's Got Something to Hide, Except for Me & My Monkey" at the beginning!
While the new-wave, art fag, let's be expressive and wear our hair funny thing never appealed to me in any manner, this is pretty cool. I mean...there's just no way I could listen to this band other than perhaps this song. It's sounds a little too "The Cult" for me.
@asmorgan88 "too The Cult for me"? No, you have no ears! Two completely different bands - sorry! Have you ever seen/heard any Chameleons albums? Seen photos of them? Funny hair?!?! Whatever.............you don't even you deserve an insult.
@asmorgan88 dude, wtf? have you ever listened to the chameleons? their songs are so very different and dark, but not so dark as to be "cult", and funny hair? where'd that come from?!
Straight up covers always show lack of imagination. A cover where the artist adds his/own spin is like a love letter back to the original artist. It's like saying "This is what I heard and here's what it means to me". Not sure this is the best cover of this tune I've heard but it is good. Reminds me of Simple Minds early years.
I agree, the best cover of this song ever. It does not copy it, but adds that unique Chameleons flavor that makes it, well, unique. Thanks for the post.
the best...

The Chazmeleons are one of the most cruelly, underrated bands of the eighties.

Veronica Tangent does a respectable live version - notable because it's a CRAB CANON - it's the same whether played forwards or in reverse!
