I'm straight but my BEST FRIEND is a lesbian. and I love her too pieces. I see absolutely nothing wrong with being "a queer" I think it's beautiful. Everyone is beautiful. Your book really helped me, I use to self-harm. I cut, and burn. I use to be bulimic. I've been through plenty in my life. My dad abuses me physically, and I was raped twice as a little girl.
It feels good, and it changes lives to get my story out and to hear other's stories.
I loved Scars. Everything was so real. I've been through all of it. It's like you went inside my head and wrote what was in there. By far one of the best books I've ever read. Definitely in my top three. I'm so glad you wrote it, because it really helped me.
@GirlNextDoor1300 Thank you, Lissa! I'm so glad you loved Scars; that felt good to read. I'm glad you told me. And thank you for your kind comments. I'm so sorry you've been through the same kind of stuff; it hurts so much. I hope you've got good people around you now. And I think you just have to be yourself. :) You matter.
I just finished reading this book, like two weeks ago. It was amazing. I think it was really great to use your own arm for the front cover. Brings the...realness out.
Cheryl, this video means more to me than any of the others which I have seen previously. Thank you for sharing your story to help us continue to create ours.
@CreateHealExpress Oh, thank you CreateHealExpress! (beaming) I'm so glad you found my video moving. It's important to me to reach others. Each of us matter, and we deserve to live, to heal, to keep working on making things better for ourselves.
I read this book and it's by far the best book I've ever read.
I had to return it but I have to do a report on it; can you please give me the description of Kendra? I don't have the book anymore and I really need it.
Cheryl, my name is Ashley and I just read your book, Scars, I absolutley loved it! I am an only child, with a past that's very hard to overcome, and I hope things will get better for me. You are an amazing woman!!!!
@TheMangalover1234 Ashley, I'm so glad you liked Scars; thank you for telling me! (smiling at you) I know it's hard, but please believe me--it can and will get better. I hope you find people you can talk to that you trust. That can help a lot.
Cheryl, I'm so glad that "it got better" for you ... and that you didn't succeed in your attempt to leave this world too soon. Like the many thousands of people who benefit from your messages, both written and spoken, I feel privileged to know you ... a powerful writer ... a sincere and brilliant woman!
