Check out the video of Ritchie Long The Next Country Star. It's the same guy-Ritchie Law- only he's singing a better song that shows off his voice more and he's got a different last name. He was in some other competition under a different name and apparently changed it. I like this kid. He's got a great bass voice. You can do it kid, ignore the critics. Just smile, play to the camera and sing low, sing slow.
Why is he still in the competition? Did anyone hear his revolting falsetto in the first group performance? Even I can do better. Maybe if more people wore acoubra hats and sang with a country twang, they'd make it further in the competition.

The asshat was paired with a real singer last night and looked as pathetic as he really is as a singer. The judges need to stop blowing smoke up his ass and send him home. I truly don't like this guy. He has a nice voice and all, but being a singer is also about taking other people's ideas and using them. He's not a team player and I noticed in one episode that 'his' group was international, he immediately looked towards the asian guy, and I thought he was being racist. I hope he doesn't win.

I am from the south, Georgia to be exact, and 22 years old. I am proud to be from the south and I like Richie. He is trying to become a great singer, not make friends with every single person on the show! Explain how he was being racist? Heejun made all the smart "cowboy" remarks, etc. If anyone was racist it was Heejun! The group made it through, and who lead them? The next round he teamed up with a black singer! Racist really? Richie will go far and has a great voice!

I understand he's trying to win, but like I said in my previous comment, being an entertainer is about taking ideas from other people and actually contemplating on them. It just seems in my point of view, he was just set on his idea. He said, "We're going to do this my way, and that's it!"

I don't mean to sound like a smart ass when I say this; cowboy isn't a race. Yes, he did lead them to the next level, but he was later kind of kicked out from his group because of his stubborn behavior.

Not upset at all, just don't see how he is racist at all. Cowboy isn't a race, but when Heejun made those comments, and there were a lot, he "grouped" all southern people as arrogant, a-holes, etc. He is the one that made statements, Richie never did. Richie won a CMT contest so naturally he should take the lead. He has had more experience dealing with these kind of situations. I agree, he could have said some things differently, but in no way is he racist.

The asshat was paired with a real singer last night and looked as pathetic as he really is as a singer. The judges need to stop blowing smoke up his ass and send him home. I think the producers are only keeping him around because it's good TV and certainly not on the merits of his singing. It won't last much longer.
