It's a good idea, and i guess if you're living in the North or somwhere where there is less signal, you could easily carry that thing round with you in your bag/pocket and attach it when needed. most people dont know that plug is for what is called a co-axial antenna, that are commonly used in wifi routers, xbox game systems and remote control car 2.4 ghz antennas. these antennas are accentually 2 wires in 1, and the plug has an outer and inner connection. and what they did in the video does nothing for signal. also, for some odd reason I knew this off the top of my head.
