SO I GOT MY GHD FOR CHRISTMAS, AND I USE IT FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND THEN I USE IT AND WHILE IM DOING MY HAIR, IT TURNS OFF AND DOESNT TURN BACK ON AND ITS BROKEN. I REPLACE IT AND WHEN IT ARRIVES IN THE MAIL I USE IT THE FIRST DAY. THE FIRST DAY I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF MY HAIR AND IT TURNS OFF AND IS BROKEN... these straighteners piss me off.. does anyone know what to do about this?????

@pinkticktack3 it is because it has a sleep mode, after 30 min. it turnes of. just turn it back on, and then it should work.

@knhatt21 No, you get the flat iron when you make the first payment, you just have to make the payments every month until it's payed off. If you were still thinking about getting one I would do it now cause they are almost sold out.

i wouldnt buy things from hsn...always buy from a salon..or i got mine from aerial...and it came in a box with a heating mat...that one might be fake...not a 100% sure though...but next time make sure you do your research

Hello! Just letting you know, GHDs do have the mode when after 30 minutes (unattended) they will automatically. But it beeps in case you are still home and can hear it) so dont do it often otherwise it will cost a lot to pay for electricity !!

I'm sorry to say, I feel bad for you, I think you have a counterfeit. If you paid only $100 for a GHD you got ripped off, especially for a pure white one. You need to check the GHD website and make sure you have a real one. Good Luck!

haha ok so tell me exactly what the difference is? both made in china sweety, At this point china doesnt care wether they produce counterfeit merchandise or not, the only difference between yours and mine is yours was purchased by GHD themselves and registered their barcode, people are actually convinced that theirs a difference when there really isnt. You need to do your research. Those poorly made straightener can not only damage your hair, but they can catch fire very easily setting your house on fire sweety. They have no safety precautions or protocols. If you feel comfortable having your $100 dollar bad deal, fake GHD, in your hair and home. Go for it! This typical American consumer as you call me will have the real deal and pay the $ for it.

be careful its not fake because there are massive scams going around especially if you buy yours online. Just check that there is a hologram on the tag on the plug and another hologram on the actual straightener and also look for typos in the manual and you should have an adapter on the plug.

I think she was talking about the chord/plug. UK manufactured products have different prongs on the end that don't work in the U.S unless you have a universal adaptor.

to MissCharlyFarly, Im not sure but I think when they are making batches of irons for the U.S and other countries they use whatever prong is standard for that country. So if you order an iron with a U.S address Im sure your iron will work.
