obviously certin people here have a personal problem with PT and can find no better way to express it than mindlessly rambleing on about him being boring and so on and as for the idiot who said PT was un-dialectical i would love to hear how you precive this to be the case, infact why dont you explain to the rest of us your inturpretation of dialectics ,that is if you have any idea what your talking about.
FellingPX seems to think that only MI5 agents could find Taaffe boring - I must admit, I never thought there were that many of them! Actually, I am a former CWI member who eventually realised he'd heard it all before, and many times. You have had some membership turnover you know, and not all of us left because we shared your view that Taaffe is 'the most up to date revolutionary on the planet.' Rather, his orations seem like pure silliness. And boring.
What are you trying to prove by commenting here? Justifying your decision to leave the struggle perhaps? That's between you and your conscience surely? In the wider scheme of things comments such as, 'boring' 'heard it all before' 'silliness' etc are meaningless. If you want a meaningful debate why don't you address the ideas of Taaffe?
Boredom is the privilege of the middle class who have time to contemplate their navels while the rest of us have to work to earn a crust and look for solutions to the big questions of the day. All human existence interests me. The question is - why doesn't it interest you? What's your problem?
babulics: Bollocks to you. You've obviously haven't heard Taaffe speak much or are incapable of understanding marxism. PT is probably the most up to date revolutionary on the planet.
If Taaffe is the most up to date revolutionary then Marxism really is in trouble. I have heard him speak many times - usually the same old crap. Remember he predicted 'The Red 90s'? Then the SP was going to become a 'small, mass party' of thousands? All wrong - like most things he predicts. And what a boring speaker as well.
Taaffe has been making pretty much the same speech for 40 odd years. It was old hat and boring then and neither his message nor Taaffe improves with time. Time t oretire?

It's out side of the democratic traditions of the workers movement to cop bait people who disagree strongly with you. Just take them on politically.

I wonder why you have heard him speak so many times if he bores you so much? MI5/6 perhaps?

Taaffe is not a great Marxist, his 'small mass-party' idea's are entirely undialectical
