Man, you don't even hear the actual song. Dub step isn't about putting sounds into a music. Dub step is manipulating the sounds already and then twisting them to sound something entirely else. You're doing dubstep wrong, man. And wtf's with the background beat? Get rid of that shit and pump the ACTUAL MUSIC, man.

You really need to work on your mixing. Sounds are being drowned out. And you need reverb on some of your sounds... But not too much so that the mix down is messed up. The main Dubstep part definitely has potential. You just need to do a lot more work to the entire project..

a "remix" should maybe contain at least some real samples from the original...

2nd: theres a reason dubstep pros never use big fat wobble basses and high melodies at the same time: it does hardly work. either the highs suck the wobble effect of the bassline or the wobbles make the highs impossible to hear, listen to skrillex' basslines stop wobbling when the highs come in (Scary monsters)

@Metalwurst666 I agree with you, in your mix, the woobles are there in continue and it doesn't have the same effect, it doesn't take you up then down as many time as the woobles restart, there is only one up, then a vibration and finally a down. melodies are too pronounced front of the woobles. But great great potential !! Waiting for u're next sound !!

It's pretty sick, but watch your levels when you're mastering it. Your bass is just low-freq; you should go for a balanced sound with some mids and highs in there, otherwise the majority of listeners miss your bass melody (not everyone has Dre Beats!). Also, another neat trick is to listen to your song at low volumes AND high volumes. Your tune sounds great turned up, but at low volume you can only hear certain high-freq synths; the cool melodies disappear. It's good though, keep at it!

@officialmixon No prob dude! I'm a music student myself, so I'm totally down for giving solid advice. Best thing you can do is use mid-range to it's potential. People tend to have this idea that mid-range is useless, and they crank the bass instead so they can hear it through whatever speakers they have. Problem? Majority of listeners won't hear it, and you'll blow the speakers of people with decent gear haha.

The low/high volume listening is key for sure!

@officialmixon Oh, and if you're recording synth via mic/amp, don't be afraid to mess with guitar/bass oriented effects pedals. You'll often get cooler sounds than just adding effects in Reason or Ableton or whatever you might be using. If you are using purely software, a neat trick to get clear-yet-dirty sounds is to do exactly that: layer a clean and dirty sound playing the same notes. This way, bass seems thick and smooth, plus you can control the distortion in every form in a second track!
