I honestly don't know what people expected when they went to see this movie... I mean the cast is indeed very weak - it does hurt the movie. But as far as it sucking - no way. It's a Sci-Fi movie, the appeal of that is there is no guideline/rule as to how it should be. How can people seriously criticize that type of movies : "Oh it's crappy, not very believable, etc." - really? Compared to what? Alien races you've seen personally? Catastrophic invasions you've survived? What's your basis?

Saw the movie a while back at an early screening, ended up being better than I thought it would. Heavies much more on action than character development (no surprise there) and it had a pretty big cast of nobodies you won't remember (doesn't help that a good amount of them die pretty quickly), but solid acting from the core players, nice effects, and a decent enough story that progresses nicely and smoothly. Ending was corny as hell, though.

Skyline has way too much B.S. going on to be taken seriously.....cheesy actors, cheesy one-liners, fighter UAV aircraft doing crazy maneuvers, people surviving inexplainable impacts? This movie should only be on TV. Battle Los Angeles on the other hand, I'll be first in line.
