the serial killer analogy is fascinating. he does talk differently with different affects on the old bootlegs i have of maha concerts depends on location or his mood i guess. and his compositions during this period (not shakti or later and not lifetime but in this band) were subtle charming at times then disarmingly violent in rage and intensity. kinda bundy-ish. LOL. and John is good looking and well dressed. funny stuff.
Too bad the start of this song is missing! Otherwise: Great! John McLaughlin is my last real music hero after Jimi and Miles passed away. Saw and heard him many times. Can't thank John enough for all those hours of joy!
@tardwhisperer Ah ha ha ha! no. I had thought this too... his original accent must have been South Yorkshire but it transmogrified into a weird robotic transatlantic drawl... perfect for luring unsuspecting girls into a car!!! I would have followed...!
