i could make a better HOW TO video.. this guy uses WAY to much solution... you only need a spray or two. some takes more than others, but still not an excessive amount at all...
in this install video, it shows the phone getting preeetttty wet. i am really scared to spray this stuff on my phone like this. wont it get in the ports or like speaker on the top? Thanks
For anyone fed up with spending 20 dollars a pop for a front screen protector that won't install incorrectly due to manufacturer negligence, look-up Skinobi on Amazon. It comes with a spray applicator (not a worthless sponge) and is only 10 bucks with free shipping. It only covers the front but, it doesn't have the tabs on the edges like invisible shield. Cheaper, easier, and works just as well.
Yeah... I just bought this for my Pre and hopefully Best Buy will allow me to exchange is and install it for me because it looks like ass. The sponge is garbage and now my screen protector has finger prints on the inside of it. I didn't realize you had to drench it and you hands with that little sponge. There is no squeegee either. Am I supposed to use that gift card as a squeegee? It doesn't slide against the screen protector at all. Do have someone that has installed these help you at least.
Yeah Zagg, this video would be helpful if you didn't get cheap and stop providing the spray applicator. That dinky sponge is trash and makes the install process much more difficult. If consumers are paying 30 bucks for your product you ought to provide the spray applicator. I can promise you.. I will not be buying invisible shield for my next phone because of this inconvenience. Cheapskates!!
OH! here's a tip for any of you who are planning on applying the shields yourself........too much application is much better than too little! because if you dont put enough, then it will be much harder to apply the shields! but if you put a lot, then you can always squeegee the rest out! simple! have fun!
nopeeeeee....just applied mine yesterday...didnt do nething at all....just dont intentionally try to spray it into a speaker/charging port...etc....and mive didnt come with the spray=( it came with a sponge filled with the application and instead of the rubber squeegee mine came with a card=( theyre different nowD= and btw...i find it more difficult with a sponge than the spray...
Best Buy In Warwick did a good job installing my brothers Invisible Shield. No imperfections. The guy who did it was really patient and really took his time doing it. He even moved us over to a table that he has set up with a huge squeege that wasn't like the one that came in the box and lot's of lint free cloths. I forget his name but he did a great job. I reccomend getting it installed there.
so id just thought id share with you guys! maybe i shared a litlee too much lol! oh and if your reading this comment first you might want to start of from the bottom on my first comment and read upward in squence so you know what im talking about and explaining! than you that is all! cmnt me back if youd like or snd me a msg if you have any other questions!
but unfortunatley it doesnt work as well as the squegee does so if you have a squegee use that instead or if you have any thing as good as the squegee that could work just ass good like a piece of rubber with a blade as an edge (like a squegee) please use that you will be doing yourself a favor and probably saving another 32 dollars or so. so thats about it i do apoligize for THE FUCKIN ESSAY i wrote hear, yes i did realize this, its just that no one told me any of theese things when i got it
almost everytime get it wrong and/or get bubbles. if the shield moves when you try to move it while its placed on top of you phone the your good to go. align the holes where there supose to be and then push down the edges so the shield is finally wrapped around and complely done on one side and do the same for the other side. if there is a spot that seems to not stick well like on an edge the palming technique does work very well. one last thing the u can use that card to flaten the shield out
a VERY GOOD AMOUNT of solution on both the shield and the phone on the side your applying. make sure the phone is off and dont turn it on untill you feel its safe and the solution has eveparated significantly to do so, also aviod any ports and openings on the device and what i mean is try not to squeez a lot of solution in the ports and dry the oozing solution when you can. if your shield easily sticks to your screen when you place on top YOU NEEEEEEEEEEED more solution b/c otherwise you will
on cleaning the side your installing forget the otherside untill your installing that side when its time do the same for that side. dont leave finger prints or lint betweent the screen and the shield b/c it wont disapear. when taking of the shield try not to ouch the adhiesive side unless you absolutly have to, its ok to touch the side but at least avoid pressing oon it for this can leave bad finger inprints. you dont actually get a spray bottle and its obsered i know but do your best to appy
and i told him this time i would install it wich i did. payed twice have had 6 diferent shields and know how to install the shield better than anyone i know so far, so listen to theese tips! im not gona go over the basics b?c there pretty obvious, since MR. MONOTONE ZAGG EMPLOYEE did an ok job at that, but heres something you might want a heads up when installing your shield! first off wash your hands to the point that you leave almost no oil finger prints on your screen, then do the best you
when i got it put the shield on my older pre on the new one to go to another best buy and say hey look they did a crappy job on my pre can i have it reinstalled they said sure so they did turns out they left it super crappy thats when i decided i had seen enogh of the instalation process to know how to do a better job myself, so i went back for the last time with myu recipts to a previece best buy talked to a diferent guy and said that i just wanted to exchange it to a new so he did.
for the reason that if they didint do a good job i could return it. wich aperantlty i did. i didnt like the work on the instalation so i had them exchange it for the 3 time on my second phone for free, then i try taking some bubles out on that one and sure enough i ended up going to a diferent best buy with my reciept on the shield and the service and got my 4th exchange for free again also on my second phone then i got hardware problems and before so i waited for my third phone to be shipped
ok NO FUCKIN JOKE ive had to install this on my pre 6 fukin times and ill tell u how to get it perfect! ive had to return my pre twice now for hardware defects, im on my third pre sent directly from palm fixed to near perfection and further tested in all curent defects existing. and my shield is installed perfectly. the first pre i had ended up with the problems so i had 2 exchange it and buy the shirld for the second time i was bummed but then i got smart and payed for the instalation
the shield itself does but only if something happens 2 it! and best buy didnt consider installing it wrong part of the waranty so i had 2 buy it again and payed for them 2 install it and well u know the rest of the story! ive got mine on properly now and hope the tips i left on the last cmnts were of any help! :)
ohhh okay:D and i applied mine 2 days ago...and theres like 2 tiny little bubble....but its on the side of the phone...and a tiny bit of solution in the PAL letters on the back of the phone...both of which i hope will dissappear over time....other than that....mine works perfectly.....AND i applied it myself....and im 14....goes to show(and i mean this to everyone) that its not THAT hard to apply the shield...it just takes time and patience ;D
hey no shit. i was given a damn sponge and a shitty flimsy plastic card not that bad ass hard plastic one. maybe this company is just getting cheap on their customers?
ok...update. i've come to the conclusion this blows UNLESS its applied perfectly and without contaminating it with lint or debris..i'm super picky so that's probably just me. and i wasted 8 bucks letting best buy try to get it right. if its on perfect or you're not nearly as picky as I am and don't mind if it looks like you have a cover on it. it rocks!
major tip for everyone even if sticky side is drenched allow it to sit for 10-15 min so it can stick to it then remove air bubles it worked for me, oh yeah zagg awsome product but instrctuions suck fu
Pain in the ass to install. They don't tell you that you have to have drench the film to the point of run off and thats the only way to get it on and be able to slide it around to get it to fit perfectly otherwise its too tacky and you fumble around with it for an hour plus like I did.

Exactly, notice in the instructions they say "Lightly spray the invisible shield", dipping it in the solution would work best.
Now I have a ruined one installed. It also makes the Pre feel like it's wrapped in saran wrap. Waste of cashe IMO.
