Beautiful !! Beautiful girl and a really beautiful voice. Believe me, I'm a fussy sod and very critical, but you've got the magic. There are so many good singers out there, technically accurate etc, but very very few have that power to make you watch right till the end. For me it's not all about being able to sing well, or over doing it with gestures trying to act like the big stars, but that natural ability to captivate without trying. You have that. Troubleclef is fantastic too! Chapeau!

As a rule, I hate a lot of 80's music. I personally think a lot people lost touch of themselves musically in the 80's but I love this this song. And I really love your cover. troubleclef is a fucking amazingly smooth guitarist and your voice sounds so great. Really good cover.

prfctday: A Berlin S-Bahn - which are the public transporation trains in Germany - as opposed to the U-Bahn (German for subway/tube). Both the S-Bahn and U-Bahn can be found under and above ground though... S-Bahn = Stadtbahn (city train), U-Bahn = Untergrundbahn (underground train). That was more information then you asked for I guess. XD Can you tell that I work as a teacher sometimes? ;)

The original features Kate Bush's excellent co-production work (she co-produced her 3rd album and then took over the production work completely for all following albums) which is quite exotic and wonderful. Enter Kate Bush and Babooshka in the YT search and lots of vids will come up. The videos/performances are a bit silly (typically for Kate), but don't let that distract you from this truly fabulous track. :)

I've watched a few of your Kate covers and I'm really impressed by the unaffected and genuine way you sing her songs. I expected you to dramatically take off your glasses during the chorus to illustrate the change from downtrodden wife to sexy amazon. Instead you rightly focus on the vocals rather than attempting the mime. Very impressive.

What an interesting comment. Thank you! Actually the thought of whipping off my glasses dramatically for the chorus never occurred to me. As much as I love Kate, and admire her intelligent, inspiring, and heartrending song-writing and producing skills, I've always found her choreography/mime-theatrics to be... um... well, simply a bit silly and superfluous.

This is not to say that I mind her dancing about the stage. I've always loved the abandon and enthusiasm of her dancing. I just found myself wishing her choreography had been a bit more abstract and skilled somehow. The words and music were already telling the story spine-chillingly beautifully. The mime-dance on top of that always seemed very "Department of Redundancy Department" to me, and a bit of a distraction really.
