First thing I noticed is that you misspelled privileged. Then I noticed that you generalize all religions as bad. You didn't delve into the distinct beliefs that differentiate the religions, or the influence of culture. You didn't explore the various interpretations of spiritual text by differing sects. Even atheism is a religion. You lacked fact and substance, so we are left with only your opinion and general bigotry towards religion - a dangerous stance when you blame bigotry on religion.

I was raised as a Catholic but I am a scientist and I do believe there is a source of existence to all we know that exists, imaginary or real. Because of this everything that we label “good” or “bad” simply is our own judgment according to the circumstances that surround it that best fits our own interests and level of intellect. It is very clear that religion (any) is manmade and not god made (or made by the source of existence).
This determines that everything in every religion that points down is evil like and all that points up is god like and that is just OUR OWN HUMANITY. The good thing is unless your brain is not fit, you know what points down and what points up, what´s evil and what is not and this is our own conscience.
The conclusion is no matter what you think or do, you are “FREE” to think whatever you want and do whatever you want “good” or “bad”. Whatever path you take in each circumstance is “INDEPENDENT” from the consequences of such circumstance. This is why there exists “evil” people living in paradise and “good” people living in hell! If a group of your friends comes one day to you in fanatic rage together with your townspeople asking you to stone somebody together with them, you would do it for sure, because if you don`t do it, you would be stoned together with that person. Now your personal morality would eat you up from inside later, but it wouldn`t prevent you from the sole act.

Competition is possible only among equals who are honestly and fairly trying to best each other. God as an idea should be gotten rid of because it is always used to manipulate and it's an infantile concept. Rather than changing our ideas "about" god, we should use a new term altogether.
Depends on what you have faith in. There is a key to the mechanism of reality to sort those who are willing to trust the Word and THEN receive, and those who want proof first, which by the way is just the normal standard of reality, proof first. It that contrast that is important. Can you have faith? If you can then another reality is open to you, if not then the realm of matter is your eventual grave as well as your cell for life.

I was raised as a Catholic but I am a scientist and I do believe there is a source of existence to all we know that exists, imaginary or real. Because of this everything that we label “good” or “bad” simply is our own judgment according to the circumstances that surround it that best fits our own interests and level of intellect. There is the obvious context. Further, how could Jephthah make the promise to sacrifice "whatever" first greets him on his triumphant return (obviously, this is meant as "whoever", not "whatever"), if such sacrifices were not commonplace? He loves you too, even though you could care less about him. There is power in God. In the Bible I've read, he conquers evil. I'd suggest reading it again. If you read it with a heart seeking him, he will open your eyes to the truth =)

There is difference between belief or disbelief in God and complete absence of the concept of God. One piece of criticism for this video. The in-video text says religion "hinders human progress by competing with science." This is not so. Competition is possible only among equals who are honestly and fairly trying to best each other. Religion is not the equal of science, and does not act honestly or fairly in trying to replace science with doctrine.

Well actually, religion is a series of simplified expressions that originate from the subconscious but are interpreted by the conscious. Religion is a survival issue for the conscious leaning man, and the conscious is designed for the more basic quotidian functions. Therefore, religion is a way of settling issues that the conscious cannot solve so the conscious can go about and deal with relevant issues to its function.

This video only shows religion as perceived by those who don't know anything about God, and it shows the mistakes that people have made in religions name. (ie: superstition, bigotry, delusion, ignorance and the separation of God and science. Religious people in general have twisted the truth and know little about God because of it. Atheists only base their opinions of God by the works of 'religious' man and his misrepresentations of God. Neither really thinks outside their box. I walk alone.

Why does what happens after death have to drag the idea of God into the picture?
God as an idea should be gotten rid of because it is always used to manipulate and it's an infantile concept. Rather than changing our ideas "about" god, we should use a new term altogether.

Depends on what you have faith in. There is a key to the mechanism of reality to sort those who are willing to trust the Word and THEN receive, and those who want proof first, which by the way is just the normal standard of reality, proof first. It that contrast that is important. Can you have faith? If you can then another reality is open to you, if not then the realm of matter is your eventual grave as well as your cell for life.
