Nola and Quint: The Early Months 1981 9/9 Guiding Light

I love everything about this particular scene. Thanks for sharing it, as always. First, we see more of the relationship between Quinton and Mrs. Renfield. Then we see his growing relationship with Nola along with her family. Then we also get to see a glimpse of the secret passageway as well.

@thia912002 I would also. As much of these scenes I remember, I'm sure there are those that I missed for one reason or another. It's just so refreshing to be able to relive them all over again. It's also fun to discuss them with other people who also like them as well. Luke and Laura had nothing to compare to Quinton and Nola, not to mention Josh and Reva.

@thia912002 For me, it was simply love at first sight of them together. I didn't really watch GL that much before Nola met Quinton that I remember. I do remember I didn't like her very much. I even don't remember the first few glimpses of him before their meeting, even though I know there were a few (in the hospital). But what wouldn't give to see a few of those also. I'd love so much to just be able to see that scene again the first time they met in the gazebo. But I do appreciate all these.

@QuolaFan1 Some of the scenes of their first encounter,I do recall is shown in a flashback of when Nola and Henry are talking about Quinton when they are in Tanquir,rescuing him from the cave. It's small stuffbut pretty impressive to me. I know someone out there has to have the original stuff on BETA tape.

Hope you will be able to post more videos of the early Quint and Nola relationship. Would like to see when Nola was sneaking around and broke a vial in the lab. You can really see the chemistry between them. Also would love to see some videos when the truth comes out on the first christening and when Nola went back to London and Quint went to bring her back. Anything to fill in the blanks before they go to St Croix.

@thia912002 Its a matter of finding time actually. Quintnola has done an amazing job of keeping the light burning for them. I'm just happy to gather up bits when I can to add to the archive and fill in the story.

@retroglyph Oh I'm not desputing that,not at all.quintnola is doing a fantastic job and I love her for doing that. YOU AS WELL! Keep it up,both of you. These stories do complete the whole story from 2 different angles. It would be nice to see how everything progressed in their relationship up to the time they went to ST.Croix. ST.Croix storyline was done beautifully by quintnola as she filled in the gaps getting us ready for the big day to come. Collabration is the key ingredient.

@thia912002 I agree 100%, they are both doing a superb job of providing these precious videos for us. Even thought I am presently watching Days of Our Lives, I don't think there is anything from that particular soap that has ever touched me as deeply as Quinton and Nola during their early lives at Thornway Road did on Guiding Light.

@QuolaFan1 How could we not.I fell in Love with Quinton R. McCord Chamberlain the minute i first saw him and have loved him since. Nola at first I couldn't stand her bratty,bitchy minipulative attitude,but then when she met Quinton my heart soften for her and I grew to love her like Quinton did. Michael and Lisa had such intense chemistry,noone will ever be able to match that ever again,ever. Keep up the great work,retroglyph and quintnola.Both teams together are doing fantastic!

@thia912002 I believe that it's people like us, who have been loyal to Quinton and Nola from the beginning, who have been the most loyal fans. I just don't see how people who compare Quinton and Nola to Reva and Josh could ever really make a comparison. After all, Reva did go through each and every of the Lewis men. As for Nola and Quinton, who remained faithful to each other always.

@QuolaFan1 I just analuzed what you said and went over everything a 1,000 times in my head and I have to say-I find it impossiblr that anyone could compare Nola and Quinton to Reva and Josh Lewis. Can i get sick to my stomach? There is absolutly NO Comparison at all to compare to. Nola and Quinton can be compared to Ozzie and Harriet Nelson or Ward and June Cleaver,but to Reva and Josh Lewis- R U Kidding me? No Way!!! Quinton is a prince to his darling Nola. OMG!Someone needs to be shot.

@thia912002 You are so right!!! There are also other couples we can easily compare them to as well, such as NICK AND NORA CHARLES to mention one example. Other couples I always find myself comparing them to is Jonathan and Jennifer Hart from HART TO HART.

Quinton was always the dashing man who would save his lady from any doom and despair that would come her way,and Nola was always the dreamer who was enchanted with the hero she wanted Quinton to see himself to be in her eyes.Geez,who does that remind ALL of us of? Hmmmm I wonder?

@thia912002 You are so right, as usual. May I take time to mention just one other couple they remind me of as well? Anyway, before I began watching Guiding Light, I was watching Days of Our lives. I don't know if anyone else will know this couple or not, but Quinton and Nola also always reminded me of Doug and Julie Williams as well. They were an equally great couple at that time.

@QuolaFan1 That's funny because Doug & Julie are my other all-time favorite soap couple, too! Though I've liked other couples, no others have come close to the magic of D/J or Q/N. They just stand out from the crowd. Doug & Julie still pop up occasionally on Days!

@rcb1952oct Oh yes he is indeed. It took time for Nola to see it as well,but then when she noticed it,he was at that time head over heels in love with her and was too shy to tell her until Nola was in the hospital after the Silas Crocker kidnapping.

This is almost like the first time there is mentioning of how scared Quinton gets whenever his past rears it's ugly head and scares him. I know Quinton gets spoked occasionally,but you really see proof here. Nola and her mom and Tony have no idea as of yet at this point.
