Criminalizing it and letting monsters control the trade only puts these people at risk. If they ran an education campaign on drugs instead of a fear campaign it's my belief that less people would use it which would mean less people would need to be rehabilitated....

@drunkglitch legalize coke? wow you have no idea how much street crime is related to the feeding of the habbits. Its not the people selling the drugs that are the problem, its the people who are addicts that rob and steal constantly to keep feeding. You cant use coke and not become addicted. Marijuana sure, legalize and see how restricted it gets. You wont be able to grow your own. You can't grow your own tobacco legally. You'll pay markups as bad as what you pay now, if not more.

@RoughNeck205 there would be better ways to discourage the use of coke than it being illegal. You can grow tobbaco in the uk. Yes marijuana being illegal is just ridiculous seeing as the worst thing that can happen to you if you smoke it is get a criminal record

@RoughNeck205 If that happened to marijuana it would just go back underground, but atleast if its legalized some profit is taken out of the hands of cartels. Legalizing coke isnt a bad idea either, as long as some money saved from the drug war goes towards rehabilitation and education, coke fiends would have no need to steel to get a fix. Keeping everything illegal is the absolute worst thing to do.

@soundman420 Billions of $ in the drug business. And its all going to the most violent 1% of the population making them so powerful even the governments are afraid of them. The quality of life in the Americas would raise substantially if drugs were legalized regulated and taxed, and the prices of drugs would go down. Less minors would use because of age restrictions and we could focus on helping addicts rather than throwing them in jail. Prohibition does NOT work and is keeping SA/CA poor.

@soundman420 Who will pay for the rehab? The health problems? What will happen to America when it's full of non functional addicts? What will addicts do when they can't afford the product anymore? How about the countless deaths from DUI? Is that acceptable? Making the foolish statements you just did, it seems drugs are taking their toll on your thought process.

@Jllucky8 The way I see it, people are going to do it anyways and there will always be people who need rehabilitation. Criminalizing it and letting monsters control the trade only puts these people at risk. If they ran an education campaign on drugs instead of a fear campaign it's my belief that less people would use it which would mean less people would need to be rehabilitated....

@Jllucky8 However I think states/provinces should be allowed to come to their own conclusion. If a state doesnt want something illegal, they should be able to legalize it without threat from the federal government. If they want one thing legal instead of the other, it's their right. Currently the drug laws produce death, destruction, a vastly misinformed public, and greatly benefit violent criminals. So I ask you, how is the continuation of the war on drugs in the conventional sense rational?

ALCOHOL is legal and causes hundreds of millions of dollars evey year in health cost .Legalizing drugs means people don't just go to jail for drugs, they can acually get help for their drug abuse. Not everone who takes drugs abuses them either. This world, this entire world consumes drugs whether they be legal or illegal. It really makes no difference. Where do you think prescriptions come from? Plants that are illegal.

@EliteMaggot "they can acually get help for their drug abuse" why would we want to legalize something that ends you up in rehab, in a car accident or in the morgue with an overdose. If anything alcohol is an example of why we SHOULDN'T make any drug legal.
