Thats what I did for awhile. Single trap H16 on a good day is fun, but not fast (compared with other 16s). Still, nothing like being out on the trap when one hull starts flying and the noise halves... love Cats.

the noise halves? Is that just as one hull (half the boat) is out of the water or some metaphor because I have noticed a strange "feel" or "air" every time I fly. Also I wonder b/c obviously the noise doesn't actually half I wonder if there is some other meaning. My H16 was free; belonged to a rich family friend who never used it in years; it actually sayt outside at a STORAGE FACILITY owned by rich friend; but they rented out all the space leaving no room for the boat; badly sundamged; wax???

Nice...You have to watch the higher wind speeds, combined with the water currents. Any little mistake in this kind of wind and, your going swimming. Heck even the wind under the tarp can blow you over, if you're not constantly watching it.

I was watching the Tornados racing today in Auckland Habour from Mission Bay! Was great to watch and they had one hull out of the water the whole time... wow... the windsurfers had no chance of keeping up aye!

Tornado definitely rulezzzz all cats!!! This boat gives so much joy and pride that it's just irresistable!!! Real shame that ISAF got rid of it from the olympics. Theres no other boat that can even with it.
